We loved the seaside cottage. Loved it so much we booked a week for the following summer in the day we left. Owners very friendly and helpful. Excellent location especially if you have dogs. Looking forward to next years holiday already.

Great cottage in a wonderful location. The only thing I could fault was lack of cooking equipment and no clothes horse to dry any washing on a rainy day but other than that, brilliant.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your comments and glad you found our cottage to be " brilliant".We have addressed the indoor clothes drier issue and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We are unsure as to what cooking equipment was found lacking. Everything and much much more is present as per's guide. More details would be really helpful if there is something we could provide if required as we do make every effort to ensure everything is present.

A wonderful retreat , so close to the sea yet totally unspoilt. The owners greeted us on arrival and made sure we were happy with everything before they left. The only tiny negative we had was that we were two couples - the master bedroom was lovely but the twin bedroom was very cramped for two adults. However, had we been a family with children it would have been absolutely perfect.

We thought that Seaside Cottage was the entire house in the picture, however the sloping roof part is actually a separate property. Location wise it was perfect for us with our dogs and they loved the beach, but the cottage wasn't to our taste. We prefer a much more contemporary style of property. There was a problem with the toaster on the first morning resulting in us calling the owners as the power had gone off in the kitchen and we were unable to locate the fuse board. This was resolved within about half an hour of us calling.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were sorry that the cottage style was not to your liking. Every effort is made to describe the style including detailed pictures of every room. We are perplexed and saddened that the score given was so low as a result. The pictures clearly show a seaside theme which is suited to a fisherman's cottage, not a modern contemporary style. The toaster went faulty and within 30 mins a new one was delivered. We could not have foreseen this as unfortunately electrical equipment does fail at times, but we did respond instantly.

We enjoyed our stay at seaside cottage very much and would go again. We are not able to walk far so it was nice to be close to a level flat walk, and also near to Restaurants, the fish was to die for, you never get it like that back home. A highly recommended holiday stay. It was also good to be able to take our dog on the beach at all times, there was only one drawback that was the weather it was cold but sunny.

Ideal situation for a holiday with dogs. The promise of a sea view was, in this instance, fulfilled! The owners were very helpful and friendly as were all the local people we met. We would visit Kessingland again knowing we could expect a friendly welcome. A good base for exploring the area.

Huge house and well equipped. Literally a stone's throw to the beach, a pub and a restaurant with a cafe and playground a two minute walk away. Having a downstairs and upstairs bathroom was brilliant (better than being at home!) and the massive master bedroom had the best bed ever and a sea view. Bunk beds kept our children entertained for hours and the decoration had obviously been a labour of love. So many interesting nautically themed ornaments etc. Kessingland is a great little village with plenty to do itself but also ideally located for Lowestoft and southwold.

A lovely, not so little cottage right on Suffolk's beautiful coast. The accommodation was all as described. Very clean, well appointed and with plenty of room for two couples and a spare room for two children which we didn't need this time around. The decor reflects the nautical location (and why not?) with many tasteful pictures and ornaments which gives a homely, lived in feel. The location is great for visiting the Suffolk coast and other inland attractions. There are basic shops a very short drive away together with a pub and good value restaurant a very short walk from Seaside Cottage. Both sampled during our stay! It was nice that the owners took time out to meet us at the accommodation for the key handover and to run through any practical information we might have required. Our only note would be; "please replace the teapot!" It has the worst pour we have ever come across! Apart from that everything was utterly fantastic! Thanks again.
