Description

Boasting spectacular sea views from several rooms, this property is the perfect escape for families looking for a seaside break.

Seashells holiday property enjoys a coastal position and is located in Seasalter, near Whitstable. Situated just 50 yards from the beach, this spacious, detached, family friendly property boasts sea views from several rooms, plus a stunning balcony which is set overlooking the sea, to Sheerness and across to Whitstable.
Inside, the layout of the ground floor creates a unique space for all the family to enjoy. The spacious living area benefits from a wood burner, which is perfect for cosy winter evenings in, and patio doors that lead out onto the decking area. The beautiful open tread, spiral stair case transports guests to two comfortable bedrooms and large family bathroom, with a shower and feature roll top bath. The unique kitchen is a 1950’s design and was built using old aircraft material, this leads onto the enclosed rear garden, with a shallow pond and plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy with an alfresco, barbeque supper. There is also a twin room on the ground floor, with a single and pull-out bed, shower room and a library area with a wide selection of books and magazines.
Take a stroll or cycle into Whitstable and explore the twisty turning lanes which all lead to the sea, and were once the haunt of smugglers. Stroll around the quirky shops, sample oysters and enjoy one of the many pubs, or bars that are on offer. Canterbury is well worth a visit with its dominant city walls and famous cathedral. The cobbled streets boast excellent boutique shops, which is perfect for a relaxing afternoon shopping. Take a boat out and enjoy a day seal spotting from Herne Bay, which is just along the coast. We were looking for a base to visit relatives close by, and Seashells exceeded all our expectations. It is on a private road so traffic was very light and not a concern, the beach is literally a stones throw from the house, and easily accessed. The house itself is welcoming and homely, with the benefit of large rooms providing us with lots of space, everything was there to allow us to wind down, relax and enjoy ourselves. The bedroom balcony was a great, and well used, benefit in the morning, having breakfast overlooking the estuary was a perfect start to the day. The house and area was perfect for us and we will certainly consider renting Seashells again for a family break.
