Fantastic little cottage ideal for couples, the stairs are very steep so do take care when either going up or down. Cottage has everything needed, great location, nice location to stroll along the beach or go travelling as we did

Was only 2 sets of bathroom towels until i rang Sarah who nipped in n put 2 more in, parking is dreadful, daughter in law got electric shock from hairdrier, extension cables under the bed cos no other sockets available for charging fones etc( n no pat test tickets either) plug sockets in general are very awkward to remove plugs n some sockets loose, lots of dust under the bed but only noticed cos i were looking for a plug socket, on the plus side, amazing location, very homely, cosy and well equipped (prob more glasses than any of the pubs and more crockery n utensils than any of the cafes) very warm after a cold walk, plenty of games, books, dvds and a Wi that we took advantage of, loads of charm, but in need of a bit/lot of attention to upgrade, maybe its a sentimental thing that stops the upgrade, but when renting out then Safety must come first

The cottage itself met expectations in respect of cleanliness and equipment, Did not like where it was located in the town. Parking difficult.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- Thank you for your comments. We are very disappointed you did not like the location especially given all the positive feedback on the location we have received from other guests. It is near the beach, shops, pubs, restaurants and recreational areas for adults and children all walking distance but is still located in a quite area of the town. On the parking, the cottages in the area were originally owned by fishermen and they were built before streets were designed for vehicles. We advise guests to reverse down the street. If you feel you cant reverse down the street you can park at the side of the property, access to which is via the next street, or you can park at the end of the street if you ask the lady at number 20.

Pleasant cottage and comfortable but let down by details. Lots of " Do, s and Don't" notices and dog not allowed upstairs. Pleasant garden and relaxing, bit of a sun trap in afternoons and evenings. Parking outside but its a narrow street to reverse into or out of, although can park at side. bit short of kitchen supplies like washing up liquid or only 1 tea towel. Washing machine not clean. Good location with lots of character and plenty of easy walks from the doorstep. Builders working on house opposite, occasionally noisy but very friendly and co-operative when moving cars to access.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you for your comments. We believe the do’s and don’ts notices are reasonable and they are there as a gentle reminder of how to avoid issues that may affect your visit or the visit of future guests. Pet friendly cottage rules, which include dogs not being allowed upstairs or in the bedroom area are on the website you booked with and apply to all cottages. Sorry you only had one tea towel as usually a few are left; if you had contacted the caretaker she would have sorted out any such issues. The washing machine is clean inside, but the door seal will be replaced.

Nairn is a lovely place to stop and the cottage was such a comfortable place. Clean with plenty of room and a lovely garden.
