The photo of the property is misleading and I was disappointed not to be staying in the house that is more prevalent in the picture. The house was very clean and the lounge furniture very comfortable unlike the beds that were the exact opposite. Although it was great being that close to the sea the area itself is more remote than I expected and Haverigg and Millom are very run down areas.

Lovely quiet cottage. Only downside was the distance from larger towns and other amenities. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. One flight of stairs could do with blocks across the risers to stop small infants falling through but no other issues. Very well equipped and I liked the fact I could pick up the key on site from a key safe and not have to go into a town to pick it up.

Haverigg is a very quiet seaside village. Ideal for couples looking for peace and quiet but not a great deal for children to do. Not a lot of amenities nearby. Parking at Seagull House difficult at times if more than one car. House itself was nice steps are steep and downstairs lounge chairs uncomfortable. Left a day early and for own reasons wouldn't go again.

The bedrooms & bathrooms are bright and airey, the middle floor is looking a little tired. The house is a 30min drive from the Lakes National Park, a little too far for our liking. The view does not match the description, but the house made for an acceptable base.

We enjoyed our stay very much - the house was clean and comfortable and the location was good with a quiet position and lovely scenery. The only negative was with some of the kitchen equipment i.e. the crockery and cutlery. There were only three cups, no saucers, not enough mugs and the plates were all very cheap and heavy stoneware. For three of us this was not a great problem but the house is supposed to sleep five people!

Our third stay, great location, spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean.

Set in a beautiful location a few minutes from the sea and some very clean sandy beaches. Very quiet in the village of Haverigg with a couple of pubs, cafe and two small shops. The property itself was quite quirky spanning three floors and having two living room areas. The portable baby gates were a welcome bonus with our toddler as otherwise the steep open stairs could have posed a problem. It was nice to have a small balcony, we just needed some nicer weather to make use of it!
