This property is in a great holiday location, close to the beach in the coastal town of Broadstairs.

Beach location

This third floor beachside holiday apartment is located on the picturesque coast at Broadstairs. Eagle House was once known as Admiral House, as it was used as the headquarters for the Coast Blockade in the 1800s. The block occupies a unique position situated directly on the beach yet only one flight of stairs away from ’The Parade’ (a pedestrian path), with amazing sea and beach views and comfortable surroundings. Guests can also relax on their balcony whilst watching the boats pass by. This property sleeps two people and is in a great location for a coastal getaway. The flat is situated in Viking Bay, with fantastic sandy beaches, and in the heart of Broadstairs boasting quaint local amenities. Local attractions include the famous Folk Week, which takes place in August, and for golfers, Sea View is within easy reach of four well-known golf courses, including St Augustine, which has hosted the Golf Open in the past. This property is also ideal for walking enthusiasts, with Thanet Coastal Path close by, the longest continuous stretch of chalk coastline in the country. Also, the Viking Coastal Trail is a 27-mile walk, passing through Viking Bay which is where the property is situated. Cycle the Viking Trail, surf at Joss Bay, enjoy the fireworks on summer evenings, as well as the Dickens Festival. There are good rail connections to London. There is roadside parking 250 yards away at cost, or free roadside parking in the area. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Stairs to entrance. All on third floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with tiled floor. 1 double bedroom with French doors. Shower room with toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Halogen hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Balcony and furniture. On road parking, at cost. Welcome pack. No smoking.

This apartment is amazing, the best location in Broadstairs with its sea view and balcony. The only constructive criticism is the two sofas in the lounge have seen better days and they are very lumpy and uncomfortable. This apartment is not cheap to hire so I would expect to see nicer furniture . The table and chairs in the bay window are also very rickerty and could do with updating. The owners have a gem here and it would only take a few adjustments to make this apartment even more perfect

The only thing that seriously needs sorting out is the heating. All five radiators have valves that you can't turn off. This means that you can't control rooms individually, it's either all hot or all off! Fitting thermostatically controlled valves would solve this problem. The clock for controlling the on/off times is also very fiddly to use. This is because the boiler is very old, yes it has a gas certificate, but in a rented out property this should be updated to a more efficient/safer boiler. I am a plumber, I enjoyed my stay but please update your heating system if you plan to let out in the winter months.

I've already booked up again for next May. Loved this apartment and the views are to die for. I lay in bed at night watching the stars through the French doors and listening to the sound of the waves kissing the shore. Heaven.

This accomodation is ALMOST perfect ! perfect location, perfect size, perfect view ! The only slight niggles are the two rather lumpy and uncomfortable sofas in the lounge they really need updating, the table in the bay window needs a repair and the shower cubicle is a little tight for larger people
