A very modern & aesthetically pleasing holiday home but marred by several aspects which would prevent us from staying again. The main problem was an invasion of woodlice in the bathroom & bedroom on the lower floors (the cleaners told us that this was normal as the area was very wet but we've stayed in Port Isaac many times in the last 40 years & have never encountered this before). The double bed was very small & cramped - a kingsize, at least, would reflect what most couples are used to. Also, the duvet for the sofa bed was not a double, as advertised, but only a single which our daughters had to make do with. A shower but no bath was a disappointment &, unfortunately, there was no outside space to sit & enjoy the views with a glass of wine (though, admittedly, these were not offered in the prospectus for the property).

Saundrys Barn is a lovely little place, very clean and peaceful. Car park space not far away for walking, but you get a map to drive around the village to park your car, very safe space. Personally for us, we found it a bit hilly, the walk to the local co op is a bit steep, by the way a wonderful shop with fab staff! My husband likes to go for his papers early, and he found it a bit steep with his bad back. It's ok for the able bodied, good exercise. The barn has everything you need, and I mean everything! Margaret's lane beside the barn takes you down to port issac, which is lovely. I thought that the bed could have been a bit bigger, but that's just preference. our host Mr Knight was very nice. Nice place good value

We had a great time. Our first stay at Saundrys but 5th visit to Port Isaac. We love the village. Golden Lion is good and St Kew Inn both great for food. Polzeath Beach great for boarding. The boys loved the Coasteering at Port Gaverne. Dog friendly everywhere we went. Fab holiday.

Saundry's Barn was absolutely lovey. 10 out of 10 to the cleaner, as it was spotless !! Fabulous food on your doorstep, no need to drive. Beautiful views from the top of the hill looking down onto Port Isaac harbour. There is a site for you to park your car but not within the property. However it is no more than a 5 minute walk and the car is very secure. My only issue was having no wifi but if that isn't something that doesnt bother, you then I would thoroughly recommend you to stay, you'll love it !

2nd visit, nice place to stay, and well kitted out. Sea views and 2 or 3 decent restaurants in the village, although we found Nathan Outlaw poor value for money this time round. Gave us chance to visit areas of North Cornwall, but is a bit of a trip if you want to get down to areas south of Penzance. Plan a good day out. Only my wife and I but can sleep 4
