Lovely, cosy...and just perfect for half term week. The cottage is super cosy and within walking distance to all that Port Isaac has to offer. There’s no WIFI and no 4G if you’re on Vodafone, which meant we had a proper break from London life!

Having spent Christmas at Saundry's Barn it lived up to all our expectations, and despite the cold outside temperatures at this time of year, the barn was always cosy and warm on our return, with its modern interior oak finish and every amenity you could want, including a Christmas tree. The secure car parking within a short walking distance was an added bonus, in a village where car parking could be a problem. The owner of the property also visited us on our first night to check everything was ok, which was much appreciated and a kind gesture.

We enjoyed our autumn holiday in Saundry’s Barn , it was well equipped and spotlessly clean. It’s small, but good use has been made of the space. The bedroom was spacious and perfect for a couple on their own, although there is a bed settee in the living area for small children . The barn is situated on a steep road but in a good location a short walk from Port Isaac harbour. The coastal walks are stunning and the nearest beach is a short drive away.

A wonderful cottage in a great location, we would definitely go back. WIFI would be a benefit (only because there is no phone signal and it would have been nice to get a weather report). Spotlessly clean, fantastic shower and facilities. We went with our 2 children (who slept on the sofa bed upstairs). It was fine for the 4 of us.

A very modern & aesthetically pleasing holiday home but marred by several aspects which would prevent us from staying again. The main problem was an invasion of woodlice in the bathroom & bedroom on the lower floors (the cleaners told us that this was normal as the area was very wet but we've stayed in Port Isaac many times in the last 40 years & have never encountered this before). The double bed was very small & cramped - a kingsize, at least, would reflect what most couples are used to. Also, the duvet for the sofa bed was not a double, as advertised, but only a single which our daughters had to make do with. A shower but no bath was a disappointment &, unfortunately, there was no outside space to sit & enjoy the views with a glass of wine (though, admittedly, these were not offered in the prospectus for the property).

Saundrys Barn is a lovely little place, very clean and peaceful. Car park space not far away for walking, but you get a map to drive around the village to park your car, very safe space. Personally for us, we found it a bit hilly, the walk to the local co op is a bit steep, by the way a wonderful shop with fab staff! My husband likes to go for his papers early, and he found it a bit steep with his bad back. It's ok for the able bodied, good exercise. The barn has everything you need, and I mean everything! Margaret's lane beside the barn takes you down to port issac, which is lovely. I thought that the bed could have been a bit bigger, but that's just preference. our host Mr Knight was very nice. Nice place good value

We had a great time. Our first stay at Saundrys but 5th visit to Port Isaac. We love the village. Golden Lion is good and St Kew Inn both great for food. Polzeath Beach great for boarding. The boys loved the Coasteering at Port Gaverne. Dog friendly everywhere we went. Fab holiday.
