We very much enjoyed our short break in Sanibel cottage. The position is superb, being so central. It is difficult to assess equipment as we ate out all of the time. Local restaurants particularly The Regatta were excellent. We would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to others who want somewhere as a centre while touring the area.

What a fantastic location ... bang in the middle of the High Street with only 200 yards to the beach, 100 yards to Co-op, 200 yards to the best pub in Aldeburgh (The White Hart), 200 yards to a cashpoint. Try the pizza from the beer garden at The White Hart ... they are fantastic. It was also the only place I could find in the area that permits dogs. There's an enclosed courtyard area at the back where the dog can run around without escaping. We didn't really have any of the problems mentioned in previous reviews. The bedroom is only about 8 foot from the rear of the chipshop, so you have to expect some noise when they receive deliveries, but we were never really disturbed. We didn't hear a single noise from the public toilets which are only a matter of feet away. The flat above us was empty for the first 4 days, but on the 5th day the older lady above, switched on her radio from 4:30 am onwards. I mentioned it to her and she was quieter on our final night. You could still hear her going to the toilet during the night and the noise of her extractor fan activated by her light switch was quite disturbing. For just 2 nights it was fine, but if she there for the entire week, this could be a big problem. Parking was fine, free for 2 hours on the High Street or free all the time, up the steps behind the cottage. Try the Brudenell Hotel for a beer or seafood, with lovely views of the beach and the sea.
