Originally constructed in 1722 this beautiful Grade 2 listed town house has recently undergone a complete makeover and has been fully restored to offer decadent self-catering holiday accommodation which oozes an abundance of style.  Sandyford House is simply divine!  The accommodation is spread over three floors and has been sympathetically refurbished with so much thought, care and attention to the finer details.  Stunning features include the original fireplaces, exposed roof trusses and stone work, which all add to its exceptional charm.
The beautifully equipped kitchen on the ground floor houses an extensive range of integral appliances and boasts a stylish cooking range and a large central island. Granite work surfaces incorporate the Belfast sink with quality limestone flooring throughout.  It leads to a garden room; an idyllic spot to dine and watch the children at play in the fully enclosed walled garden.  A twin bedroom with en-suite shower facilities has the added convenience of being on the ground floor too. 
The main sitting room is a bright and airy space on the first floor and features solid oak flooring and a sliding sash window giving views across the garden.  Indulge in the luxury of the spacious bathroom where there is a centrally placed roll-top spa bath, separate shower enclosure, WC, twin stone wash basins and even a sauna!
Two further bedrooms, both with en-suite shower facilities on the second floor ensure Sandyford House is suitable for the gathering of family and friends alike as well as for those couples seeking something particularly special....
Sandyford House is situated in a mews style courtyard, tucked behind the main street of the picture postcard village of Rothbury. Its private setting is surprisingly peaceful and the walled garden enhances its relaxing ambience and gives a degree of seclusion.  Yet there is a wide array of facilities including several shops, pubs and quaint tea rooms all within a gentle stroll from Sandyford House.

Kitchen: With gas rayburn cooker and separate hob, integrated appliances including microwave, coffee machine, drinks cooler, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, TV, washing machine and tumble dryer, high stools for breakfasting. Beautiful lime stone flooring.
Garden Room: With comfortable furnishings to dine
Bedroom 1: With two single beds, TV and en suite facilities comprising of shower enclosure, WC and wash basin.

    Really nice place to stay, fully equipped with every this you need for a self catering holiday. Settees in the large bedrooms were a great idea. Down side, dishwasher didn't work and the shower in main bathroom shower leaked.

    Amazing week in a beautiful house. Everything was supplied, and it soon felt like home. We had some wonderful days out, Cragside, Belsay Hall and Wallington are a must see. We were very sad to leave but will definitely be back!

    Kitchen was full of equipment but was lacking in small things like a timer. All together though it was a fantastic cottage.

    Excellent cottages everything you could possibly need to enjoy a 5* holiday. Great location, lovely village with plenty of shops and lovely walks. The cottage was more than we could have expected, loved the jacuzzi bath, lovely private garden, lovely and clean nothing to complain about at all well done to the owners on having a beautiful cottage . Would stay again without hesitation .

    Beautiful house, extremely comfortable and well equipped. Perfect location, blissfully quiet. Couldn't have been more pleased.
