Missed not having wifi or decent phone reception. Could have done with hooks on bathroom doors and chair in downstairs bedroom. Location was attractive and site well maintained and parking good. A good central location for our touring needs.

This is a lovely clean cottage - very comfortable with easily adjustable heating and bags of hot water. Parking is right outside the door and the Longlands Hotel is less than 1 minutes walk across the car park. There are supermarkets nearby and some nice eating places, including takeaways, so no need to go out if it's bucketing with rain. That said, there are more than enough interesting places to visit to fill your week - just look out for that pesky one way system in Lancaster city centre! It would be helpful to have a visitors' book in the cottage. There is no wi-fi in the cottage at present but that is being remedied shortly. There is a 24-hour room at reception where you can log in and also at the hotel so it wasn't a huge problem for us.

We enjoyed the holiday very much . The lakes near by . Loads to see and visit , within an hour of the cottage . There was no internet available , but you could go to where the office is and use there's , but after a long day visiting places , this was the last thing on my mind . The cottage itself was well equipped , the only downfall was the mattresses , very uncomfortable .
