Set in 70 acres of beautiful pastures leading to the Coombe Valley

Set in 70 acres of beautiful pastures leading to the Coombe Valley. As the name suggests, Sanctuary Farm Cottages provides a wonderful sanctuary in which to relax and unwind. Woods Close (ref 17831) has its own private balcony and sitting out area boasting wonderful views. Guests are free to wander the woodlands and natural grounds or a 1½ mile walk through woodlands leads to the sandy beach at Duckpool. A profusion of cliff, beach and moorland paths for walkers to enjoy - why not start with the coastline’s Heritage Trail. Bude, 5 miles, has shops, pubs, restaurants and facilities for golf, swimming and ten pin bowling. Horse riding in the village. There are four golf courses within a 30-minute drive, including the Ivyleaf Golf Course which is just 3 miles away. Water sports, fishing, canoeing and bird watching at Tamar Lakes, 6 miles. This is a spacious but cosy cottage with a warm welcome and delicious scones! Some great walks available as long as you can put up with a bit of mud and can cope with the digital isolation. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Was lovely and quiet. Quite a bumpy road down to the cottage but was clean and homely. Fantastic

Very nice cottage and friendly owners. Cream tea waiting for us on arrival. Only negative is the farm track leading to the accommodation. If you are not used to this sort of thing and do not have a 4 by 4 it is a bit of a bumpy ride. Other than that, well equipeed cottage in a lovely location.

Great hideaway off the beaten track - no phone signal at all in the cottage which was a bonus to be fair . Very relaxing would definitely recommend as a place to recharge your batteries

Apple tree cottage was fantastic. The owners sue & David were great and come out to meet you as soon as they here your vehicle pull up. The cottage was lovely in beautiful surroundings and the cream tea upon arrival was a real treat. The cottage itself has everything you need. The only thing I would say is that the bed whilst big and relatively comfortable could do with a memory foam topper on there. The local walks around the area are fantastic especially the costal walks from duck pool. For the places we were visiting it was ideally located, please note that the cottage is very rural on a working farm. If you know Cornwall well then you will be aware that some roads only fit one car at a time so the roads in and out can be a little tricky to navigate and the drive leading to the cottage is also a little challenging for lower vehicles as very rugged. This being said the above was a small price to pay for such a beautiful cottage and area and we would most definitely stay there again

A very relaxed week, but let down by the English weather. The cottage could benefit from internet access, we could not even get a mobile signal. The cottage is very isolated, access is via a very long uneven farm track. If you have a low car it may bottom out on the drive in and out every day.

We stayed in apple tree cottage with our 8 month old baby, very well equipped and beautiful setting, we even saw some roe deer. There was no one there to meet us but we found everything was ready for us which was great, owners are friendly and the place is so peaceful. The only reason we marked it down slightly was because of the location for us although beautiful we couldn't do any of the walks with the baby in the buggy so we had to drive everywhere. But that's no reflection on the owners or the property, that's our own fault for not researching the location better! We would stay again if it was just us as a couple :)
