The property is located in the courtyard of the owner’s small 18th century château (listed as a ’Monument Historique’), surrounded by fields and orchards within a hamlet. It’s a great place for resting and walking and is centrally located for exploring the surrounding area. Historical Caen with William the Conqueror’s castle and abbey, Peace Museum, shopping and horse racing is 13km. The chic resort of Cabourg with casino, palace hotel, horse races, endless sandy beaches and shopping is 20km. Also at 20km is Pegasus Bridge where the British commandos landed the day before D-Day. Bayeaux with its cathedral and famous tapestry is 50km as is Falaise with William the Conqueror’s birthplace.
