This was our third stay at Rushfieldsbarn mainly because of the location, one level (suitable for elderly relative) and being very dog friendly. However the barn needs updating, especially the plumbing (leaking/odd taps and blocked shower head) and the same rickety chest of draws in both bedrooms. Cleanliness was good except for the same old black mould around all of the windows and doors. The Garden Center is great and the owners and staff are very helpful but it is time to take notice of the reviews.

The Barn was very comfortable and the facilities provided by the Plant centre and the excellent Farm Shop made what was not the most brilliant weekend weather-wise a very relaxed stay. The whole experience was enhanced by the very friendly and helpful attitude of all the staff members we encountered at Rushfields.

A lovely cosy cottage set in beautiful countryside, perfect setting for walks on The South Downs. Owner very helpful and friendly with lots of information about the area. Set in the grounds of a garden/plant centre with easy access to the farm shop and cafe. Food in the cafe was excellent with quick service and attentive staff.

We enjoyed our 3 week stay very much. But to go anywhere walking from home is near to impossible, because it is located next to a very busy A-road without any pedestrian comfort. The cottage and garden provided everything we would ask for.

Cosy barn, lovely bedrooms, well equipped. Great food in the garden centre's cafe next door, and we got some gerat food from the farm shop which is there too. Great garden for our dog too, and lovely sitting out at the table for breakfast. Good wildlife, good selection of bvirds about and beaytifully quiet. Also useful to have the bus stop outside to get to Brighton very quickly and without the problem of parking the car in town. would definitely stay again

Excellent location. Great people. Lovely layout. Very peaceful. Great farm shop. Needs a few little updates: blackout curtains needed in bedrooms (had to move curtains in from main room and it looked like lots of people had done this before too), only 3 mugs and two had damage, new wooden spoon. That's all.

Can't beat the location fabulous. May go back again. Owner very friendly and welcome pack was most welcome! Looked at other reviews before booking and I now understand some of the comments so I would suggest that a little TLC is given to the barn to keep the standard up.
