In the pretty Cambridgeshire village of Stretham, within walking distance of the local shops and inn, this delightful detached property, built in 1880, is tucked away in a quiet area. With its fully enclosed garden, it offers comfortable holiday accommodation whatever the season. Guests also have use of the external log cabin which homes an air hockey table and outdoor games. Close by is the very popular historic city of Ely with its imposing cathedral, attractive river and good selection of individual shops, pubs, restaurants and tearooms. It is a superb base from which to explore the many delights that Cambridgeshire has to offer, and golf and fishing can be found locally. Nearby are Wicken Fen and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Welney, Anglesey Abbey (NT) and Audley End. Within a 30-minute drive lies the city of Cambridge with its art galleries, colleges, botanical gardens and punts on the River Cam. Lovely cottage as described and as shown in pictures. Small quiet village, one pub with good quality meals at good prices. Small shop, but not far from supermarkets. Close to visit Ely or Cambridge.

Cottage not well maintained, perhaps explained by the fact that it is up for sale. Poor quality equipment provided, although all essentials were there. Excellent location - bus services to Ely & Cambridge.

We booked Rosewood for a New Year's break with friends, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very well equipped for all our needs, with a generous welcome pack, which was much appreciated. It was also warm and comfortable, and we enjoyed lighting the log burner on chilly evenings. The village of Stretham was charming, and there was much to see and do in Ely.

We rented cottage for family pre-Christmas get together - 6 adults. House a little small for 6 adults especially the sitting room. More suited to 4 we would say. The cottage decor is rustic - steep stairs and steps and wooden floors in bedrooms. The shower in the family bathroom is difficult to use - no mounting or curtain /screen. Good walk in shower downstairs though. House location is squeezed in amongst other properties so no views or privacy - but is well equipped and is handy for Ely and Cambridge both of which we wanted to visit.

Rosewood was a great base for touring the area. It was very comfortable and included everything we needed. Contrary to previous reviews the garden was well maintained and featured some splendid hanging baskets. There were plenty of saucepans, bowls and cooking equipment. Although the plastic garden furniture was a little faded is was quite safe and comfortable to sit on. WiFi was excellent. Just one thing to note - the little girl in the neighbouring garden likes to serenade you through the ground floor bathroom window!

No point as the property is up for sale. The garden was in a very poor state.
