The steps leading to the cottage were very over grown. There was no outside light working so dangerous at night. There is no parking on site unless you block the owners car in, you can park on the road opposite. There is no private area to let the dog out. There were a lot of cob webs. The welcome pack was good. The location excellent. The cottage was lovely and warm.

A lovely relaxing week but literally no signal of any sort for mobile phones etc. Even the local cafe and takeaway were cash only. The Co-op had a cash machine & took cards though. Fantastic location and loved the walk up to Hareshaw Linn even though we missed seeing a red squirrel. Would go again.

Roseneath is a cosy cottage set in a quiet village. Very clean with added features escpecially the welcome breakfast pack !! This an ideal base to explore the beautiful scenery Northumberland has to offer. No wifi or mobile signal at the property but didn't mind it was actually good to switch off to technology !! The area is also dog friendly with most shops offering free water and food . Mrs Hall owner is a fantastic host and we will definitely returning to Roseneath.

Roseneath was well equipped and clean. Could do with a little updating and the entrance area could have done with the plants cutting back a bit. The breakfast pack was a lovely touch from Mrs Hall. All local amenities were within walking distance of Roseneath we had a really relaxing time there which is just what we needed. Our 2 dogs loved it too.

Had brilliant 2 weeks exploring the countryside with our two dogs. No mobile phone or internet at the cottage the only draw back.

The location was ideal for exploring both Northumberland and parts of County Durham.
