Possibly the best cottage in Sussex, comfortable, clean and in a location which is excellent for both town and country. Alexandra Park, only a few minutes away is perfect for dog walkers and has a very good cafe. Hastings itself is let-down by the sea front cheap shops and chip shops. However moving away to Rye, Bexhill and Eastbourne for day trips shows Sussex in a good light.

This property is situate in a in a peaceful road and good surroundings. It had everything we needed except a bath mat although it was a non slip flooring it would just have been nicer to have had one. There is a really good flat access to the rear leading into the garden for anyone with slight mobility problems as the front steps are a bit steep.

Throughly enjoyed staying at Rosedene, home from home, everything you could want and more. Very spacious and comfortable, free view TV, WIFI, spotlessly clean, lovely quite area. Couldn't have asked for more. Lovely owners, would highly recommend.

This bungalow is tired and needs work in some areas. The toilet flush was not working when we arrived at bungalow and my husband had to get tools out to repair it before it could be used. The shower looked as if it had not been cleaned, although rest of bathroom was clean. Meant we could not use it. The bed in the second bedroom, a sofabed, had a really thin mattress and is not at all comfortable to sleep on. Is only really meant for the occasional overnight stay. There was no storage in this bedroom either, meaning clothes had to be hung on front of locked wardrobes. Some of the blinds in the conservatory could not be opened and every window and the door stuck. Not really happy at all with our experience.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We were disappointed to read your review following your recent stay at Rosedene. In reference to your comment regarding the property looking tired, we feel that this is a matter of personal opinion and not a comment we have received from other guests. Following your feedback regarding the toilet flush, we have checked this since your stay and have found the flush to be in full working order. The property is thoroughly cleaned prior to each guests stay - the shower was perfectly usable as our cleaning company had checked it. Regarding the conservatory windows - sometimes summer heat expands the plastic. This is common to all conservatories of this style and beyond our control. The conservatory blinds open as close as they should. The property advert does give potential guests a very accurate and detailed description of Rosedene. The sofa bed is clearly stated within the property description and shown within the photographs on the website. Due to the size of the second bedroom, there is limited storage space available however; there is plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space available in other rooms.
