This property was described as luxurious, it had the potential to be so but was let down by poor upkeep and cleanliness. In order to use the shower we had to descale the shower head and unblock the plug hole. Before eating we had to rewash most of the utensils many of which were broken. The Hoover had a broken hose so we were unable to use it without resorting to getting on our hands and knees. When we arrived there was no wifi. This was not resolved until the day before we left. Dog owners be careful, the garden is not secure, our medium sized dogs made it through the hedge within minutes of arrival. There was no welcome pack or information about the cottage or local area nor was there a visitors book. Without a phone signal or wifi this meant even finding the local shop was difficult. The hot tub was lovely and well maintained but sadly this alone did not offset the many negatives of this property. We contacted the owner the day we arrived about the wifi and got one response to this. On the second day we contacted them to express our other concerns and we still have not had any response to this. Overall very poor value for money and very disappointing. We would definitely not return or recommend.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments, we have recently had an inspection from our Regional Manager and everything has been addressed and she was quite happy with the property. Regarding the Wi-Fi, the property is in a rural area and can be intermittent at times. Also the garden is fenced all the way round however; even very small dogs can get out towards the river.

The cottage was beautiful and for us location was ideal. Peaceful but easy enough to get to some nice walks in the car. Owner really friendly. Felt like home from home. Even in Feb/March lovely to sit at the end of the garden watching the Severn bore. Hot tub lovely and quite private too. Pub 2 mins walk away not dog friendly but railway pub in Newnham (15-20 mins walk) was lovely and dog friendly too.

Had a lovely stay at rose tree cottage. Garden is lovely, hot tub a nice bonus. However, although not filthy, I left the property in a much cleaner state than it was in when we arrived. I cleaned the oven (wouldn't have cooked pizza on the oven shelves otherwise) and cleaned inside the cupboards. There was a fair amount of crockery that needed washing before using. The shower was also blocked (the tray was flooded instantly). Pulled a lot of hair from the plug which made me squirm. We didn't complain about this however and made do with very quick showers and soaks in the bath. The black carpets throughout were a bit of a nightmare having 2 dogs, however, I understand that this is a good way to make sure the carpets are not full of dog hair. Not as secluded as it appears on photos, neighbours very close and noisy at times. Would, however, stay here again.

The cottage has a large and stunning kitchen with plenty of space and superb setting along the estuary. However some of the utility equipment was dated or broken and some basic items unavailable. In my opinion the living room would have benefited from another sofa. The mattresses on the beds were extremely uncomfortable and really do need to be changed. Wifi was very poor. The owner was extremely pleasant and very accommodating.

Just returned from a lovely week at Rose Tree Cottage. It's a really comfortable and homely cottage and had everything we needed for a week relaxing before the Christmas chaos starts. The weather was sunny but frosty for most of our week and we made full use of the gorgeous hot tub and the wood burner in the lounge. Lovely touch to have all firewood for the week provided. Steve was on hand every day to keep an eye on the hot tub and help with odd queries. The kitchen was a bit lacking in ovenware but he provided some as soon as we asked. He has even since posted back a charger we left behind by mistake and refused our offer to pay for the postage. Couldn't have been more helpful really!

Arrived at the cottage, all was fine. Went to look in the hot tub and was empty. No note to say it wasnt working left. Rang the owner. Very rude on the phone, confirmed hot tub wasnt working and unable to fix. She mentioned had been broke earlier in the week yet when rang mid week to arrange key pick up nothing was mentioned. Owners attitude was like it or lump it. Not what you would like to the start of a holiday. Owner really lets the cottage down.

This was my second time of staying at Rose Tree Cottage, I loved the place from the first time I stayed for a extended weekend with friends! On this occasion, it was just my wife and I with our dog. A great place to unwind, especially whilst sitting in the hot tub which over looks the Severn Bore river which is only a matter of feet away! As for the accommodation itself; well furnished and very comfortable! Rose Tree Cottage is a credit to its owners! I would recommend this property to friends/family and would definitely visit again.

The only thing that lets this beautiful cottage down is the owner. Doesn't reply to messages or calls which is a real shame as the cottage it's self is beautiful.
