Rose Farm Barn was an excellent venue for a large party it was warm even though it was a Barn. The underfloor in the lounge was very efficient. There was plenty of every thing plates mugs and cutlery etc. The beds were comfortable. The lounge had large sofas to seat everybody and the small sitting room was good if anybody wanted to just go to read or watch the television. The family enjoyed the table tennis and games.

Such a lovely barn conversion in which we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Barn and surrounding buildings lovingly restored. Immaculate inside with ample bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all our family and pets. Peace and quiet all round but with games room for snooker, table tennis etc. Large 300 year old table seated 11 of us for family meals. Plenty of crockery and cutlery for use whilst one set in the dishwasher. Comfortable beds and seating arrangements. Beautiful Suffolk landscape for walks along country roads. The owners were accommodating and friendly and made us feel welcome to use their property. Nothing was too much trouble. A real home from home.

Property was nice and spacious. Probably better in the summer as it was impossible to keep the west end of the building warm (ground floor bedrooms freezing) neither radiator worked, 85 year old disabled mother did not cope with this very well at all. Ground floor showers were useless. Nice location, ok places to eat. Grocery store nearby which was great for fresh bread etc.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; This review made us very sad. When we showed the guests round, the heating was explained to them and we also always stress that if there are any problems, guests should immediately ring the mobile number provided so that we can sort it our swiftly. We hate to think that there has been any discomfort during a stay. In fact these guests had left the thermostat turned right down which may have caused the problems. They didn’t ring our mobile or landlines to give us the opportunity to help them. Happily, the guests who stayed immediately after these had no problems with the heating or showers, so we are pretty sure that there must have been confusion with the heating controls. A telephone call may have solved the problem.

Rose farm barn was a lovely property. Lots of room for large families. We were an extended family with grandparents,17month old twin boys, and various young people. The family wing was ideal for the babies and parents, meaning the rest of the party was undisturbed at night. The courtyard was a great place to sit in the sun in the day and evening. The rear garden was another area for games. We were pleased to see that the pond in the grounds could be safely shut off from the twins, something not very clear in the information before booking. The equipment in the kitchen was excellent, at least 24 of all items, crockery and cutlery. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated and with quality bed linen. Bathrooms were very nice.
