Have stayed in Rose cottage 1 so knew what to expect & certainly was not disappointed.the cottage is extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. The fireplace is magnificent which is why we always come during the autumn/winter months as it is what you would expect from the quintisential thatched cottage. Would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful cottage. The Cotswolds are the rose in the crown of the English countryside & this cottage does it proud.

Beautiful cottage in a picture postcard setting, close to the village & a visit to Chefs Dozen is a must for dinner. Would happily stay here again & explore the Cotswolds some more!

Sofas not very comfortable and very few baking tins. If you are planning to cook take some with you. Ash tin was full on arrival but otherwise clean and tidy. Beds comfortable no bath sheet although not essential would be nice. Toilet seat a little precautions not fitted properly. Extremely cheap toilet roll supplied. I am being picky but at this price and gold awarded expectations are high.

Lovely cottage beautiful location had everything we needed for our 5 days stay in February. Though I found the bathroom and kitchen a bit too cold for my liking so would choose a warmer time of year next time.

This cottage is lovely. My wife and I spent a long weekend at the cottage and even though the weather was a bit changeable it didn't matter (but what do you expect in November). The cottage was warm and cosy and well equipped. The fireplace is amazing and we had fires most days. Typically you'll need a bag of logs per day. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped and the owner left a cake which was a lovely touch. There was also milk in the fridge and tea and coffee available. Most places don't have this level of detail. The bathroom has everything you need and the bedroom was cosy with a very comfortable bed. The location of the cottage is perfect as its a 10 min walk to the centre of Chipping Campden and its nice just be out of the town. We ate at Huxleys, the 8 Bells and best of all was Michaels Meditteranean Restaurant. If you like Greek food this is a must. If I was to critique the cottage I would be nit picking so I'm not going to. Overall it was a lovely weekend and the only downside to this review is that it will probably encourage more people to book the cottage which means less opportunity for us to book again in future :-)

Comfortable and cosy in this most representative area of the Cotswolds. Chipping Campden centre 10 minutes walk away with any number of eating/drinking establishments and other amenities. Idealy sited for exploring the Cotswolds on foot or by vehicle. The couple next door (Rose Cottage No. 1) were on their 19th consecutive stay!

Our stay at Rose Cottage 2 was absolutely fantastic and we will be back! The cottage itself was very well equipped and comfortable and was in a perfect location for exploring Chipping Campden as well as being an ideal base for several lovely walks. The walk to Hidcote was especially nice! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This cottage is in a very convenient and delightful part of Chipping Campden only a short walk from the town centre and with good transport links to other places. Unfortunately during the first week in August it is also a stretch of road which converts into an evening version of tractor brands hatch with heavy duty agricultural vehicles frequently zooming noisily past up to 11 pm presumably after getting the hay in with headlights. This is however an unfortunate fact of life in the country at this time of year and probably short-lived. The cottage itself is very pretty and has all required amenities although with no phone and mobile phone coverage is patchy but the internet worked ok. Parking at the rear was ok although turning a large car was difficult and might be impossible if more than one car was parked there which is an issue due to tight access clearance. We noticed an overpowering smell of burnt wood from the fireplace (we didn't light a fire) meaning we had to open the doors on several occasions because the windows were locked with no key in order to vent it. I have no doubt that it meets all necessary fire safety standards but I did have reservations about the implications of such small windows upstairs with a very restricted escape route. Birds land frequently on the chimney which amplifies their cooing noise. It might be possible to fit something to prevent that. Overall a very attractive and comfortable cottage but not quite perfect

Great cottage in a great location. From the doorstep you can walk into the lovely countryside, or into town for the pretty shops, tearooms and pubs. Nice and quiet with good facilities, the cottage is very comfortable and attractive inside.
