Good for a base and ideal for me as I used to live in area knew my way around. Would suit couple. Would have liked to seen a deep clean in kitchen and cushions etc in lounge and floor in bathroom very slippery and rather tired bath and room. But aside from that is great location for many attractions in the area and around.

A really nice cottage located in the lovely village of Rottingdean. The cottage is well appointed with almost everything to be a home from home. Some plumbing issues with the bathroom taps and I would suggest removing the cupboards next to the two garden chairs and adding a more comfortable seating option to cater for four in comfort. Apart from that I would highly recommend a stay a rose cottage and would make a return visit. Rottingdean is a lovely village with great pubs and great options for dinning in such a small village. We took three dogs and were made to feel welcome in all the places we visited. Great bus service to Brighton (just don't get the No2 on your return in hot weather). The Plough Inn and Sea Spray cafe were very friendly and food was of a good standard. The Chippy and Curry House were also pretty good. As for the owners website please include a picture of the kitchen which currently is not shown, which makes you think it might be a bit below standard but is far from it. The cottage has a nice enclosed secure garden and overall we all enjoyed our stay so I would definitely recommend Rose Cottage.

Very well appointed cottage in an excellent position. Added bonuses were the wash basins in the bedroom and the garage. Garden, although a bit untidy was extremely pleasant to sit in and have a barbecue. What a pity previous guests could not be bothered to clear out the barbecues! Unfortunately for some unknown reason the sound on the TV kept cutting out after 9PM

Great location for us. Cosy and comfortable. Agree that taps/ plug in bathroom may need a bit of attention. A minor as otherwise it was a lovely 3 days for us.

The property was ideally situation to get into Brighton on the buses and is in walking distance of all the amenities. We were able to walk the dog on the beach and enjoy a BBQ in the garden.

Work needs to be done to the taps in the bathroom - no cold water and barely any hot but other than that had a great time as always and will be back!

This is a really lovely cottage in a location that would be difficult to beat. In the village centre only a couple of hundred metres from the beach. A short bus ride to Brighton also. The real fire was a lovely bonus.
