The cottage was good value for money and we enjoyed staying there. The garden was beautiful and the house was full of character. The only downside was that the double bed upstairs needs replacing as the base was completely knackered and held together by bits of wood. It squeaked terribly every time either myself or my wife moved which became very annoying after a while. Also there is a musty smell in the downstairs double room by the front door. That said we had an enjoyable stay and the pool table / games gave us plenty to do on the long winter evenings.

A large and well equipped cottage representing very good value for money. Ideal for a family with plenty of room for kids to play inside or out. A separate games room with table tennis, exercise machines etc, plus table football and a pool table in the main house. Satellite tv with some english channels and a good selection of dvds. A large, quiet garden with a BBQ and plenty of secure parking in a private courtyard. A real bonus to us was to find comfortable sprung mattresses on the beds. The kitchen is well equipped and can be restocked with purchases from local supermarkets at Aumale or Grandvilliers. There are some attractive towns to explore but unfortunately most of the WW1 battlefields are a little distant - Vimy Ridge is about 100 miles. However, the cottage is easily accessible from Dieppe or Calais.

Sep 2016, just the two of us. What a delightful cottage, very quiet location which is what we wanted. We didn't use the games room. Possible to ride to local town for a drink and lunch (15 miles round trip) on what can only be described as superb smooth and quiet roads. The French couple opposite were lovely and helped me repair a damaged screw on the cycle. Would love to visit again.
