A short drive takes you to Ludlow, famous for its castle, festivals, quaint streets, shops and open markets; it also has an abundance of restaurants and eateries for fine dining, some Michelin starred, and it is a definite must for a visit. The area boasts an abundance of National Trust properties including Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Hampton Court Gardens and the Brockhampton Estate, all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day out to the cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester and the abbey at Tewkesbury. For the more active there is golf, horse riding and carp fishing available locally. Offa’s Dyke and the Malvern Hills, for serious walkers, are within easy reach. The Wainhouse is a beautiful cottage & we received a warm & friendly welcome from Jane, the owner. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished & everything a large family/group could want was provided. The kitchen is lovely & very well equipped. The 5 bedrooms, 3 with en-suite, are all doubles with comfy beds & lots of storage, having one of the bedrooms, with wet room, downstairs suited our needs perfectly. This was the perfect choice for our family birthday celebrations & I'd highly recommend it, hope to go back next year.

We had a fantastic long weekend with our family at the Wainhouse. The cottage is beautiful, clean, well equipped and set in wonderful quiet countryside. The owner is incredibly friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed a fabulous walk and although it is a drive to the nearest pub or town, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the ideal cottage for you. We will definitely be back.

Our party of seven persons were all very impressed with "The Wainhouse" Cottage. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, rooms larger than expected and had Wi-Fi (which was important for us). Adjacent farm was interesting! Would certainly recommend a stay at " The Wainhouse" to friends.

Stayed for a weekend in March for a family gathering - 9 adults, a 2year old and a 1 year old. Fantastic accommodation and owners. Plenty to keep the children entertained on the farm (it was lambing season and although busy they were happy to show us around). Visited Croft Castle and Ludlow - both recommended.

Visited in the winter, a lot of narrow country lanes, o.k. if fine weather. Lovely property, very friendly owners. Could do with a larger freezer to cater for 10 people. Would visit again.
