An excellent cottage in an excellent location. Built in 2011, specifically for letting to holidaymakers, the cottage has almost everything you will need. It was very clean and tidy and the furnishings were of a good quality and very useful or comfy. Rooms are all a good size. The location is spectacular, being 8 miles down a valley with a loch, it has mountain views on all four sides. The owners, who live nearby, were very welcoming and accommodating and there were starter items dotted all over the place, such as toilet rolls, washing machine liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, etc. Downsides are that there are a few niggles with things that don't quite work properly, with apologetic signs attached. We had problems with the downstairs toilet cistern, the oven and internal grill, and closing windows, which may have been down to technique, rather than a fault. There is no mobile phone signal, which is to be expected, but the advertised wi-fi is actually broadcast from the owners own cottage and is so weak that you can only pick it up if you stand in a contorted position by the patio doors, or go outside (not what we wanted to do in the winter). Basically, there's no useable wi-fi unless you go and sit outside the owners' cottage.
That said, if you are looking tyo get away from it all and want no contact with the outside world, other than satellite freeview TV, then this is definitely the place to come. Walks can be difficult if you try to go off piste as there are lots of fences - but there are still lots of good walks. Go to this cottage, it's lovely in a lovely place. we spent hours 'watching the mountains go by'!
