With pretty gardens leading onto the shore and stunning views of the sea from its attractive deep-silled windows, this sympathetically renovated and restored cottage offers quiet charm right on the edge of the sea. Built during the early 19th century to accommodate the salmon and herring fishing boom, Rockview is typical of the period, built of local stone with combed ceilings upstairs and an attractive ‘fisherman’s landing’. There is a cosy lounge with original open fireplace, a good-sized double bedroom downstairs, bright modern bathroom and an attractive upstairs bedroom with traditional sloping ceilings. The garden is a real delight. Approached via a set of stone steps across the access lane, it is mainly laid to lawn, with seaside shrubs and plants. A small gate opens onto the shoreline leading down to the sea.
