A couple of dog friendly cafes in the village would be nice off season. Also pillows are really hard so probably need changing. Some soup bowls would come in handy. Overall a very pleasant week.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thanks for your feedback - we are glad you had a good week. Sorry to hear the pillows were too hard for you, we have actually replaced a couple of pillows this week, but I suppose it depends what you are used to, we think they are quite soft. Regarding the soup bowls, we thought the cereal dishes could also be used for soup, but we will think about purchasing some soup bowls also. The only cafe in the village, The Wolfhouse, is dog friendly; there are always people with dogs there, inside and outside. There is also a new cafe/ tearoom due to open in the village centre this spring, although I don’t know if it is going to be dog friendly yet. The three pubs in the village are dog friendly also.

Quaint and comfortable cottage in a very quiet village, within walking distance of the seashore and small village shops. Makes an ideal base for day trips to the Lake District, Grange-over-Sands, Blackpool, Morecambe & surrounding areas of outstanding natural beauty.

We had a great holiday at Rock Villas, despite the very wet weather. On arrival we were impressed with the overall cleanliness and comfort offered by the property. We had our cocker spaniel, Jake, with us and the enclosed garden along with the many local walks made the holiday a pleasure. The property is in a perfect position, close enough to local services and the excellent Silverdale Hotel which is dog friendly and serves wonderful food and beer. We would definitely return if in the area and have no hesitation in recommending Rock Villas for a peaceful holiday.

Had a chilled out time at rock villa's again weather was a bit mixed but didn't spoil our enjoyment. The standards at rock villa's were top notch as usual managed to get up to the local hostilary the woodlands which is a very quirky place which make dogs very welcome. Look forward too coming here again. Howard,Diane, and our two Bedlingtons Jack and Jess.
