Situated on the owner’s working farm and enjoying countryside views, thanks to its elevated position, this detached barn, accessed by a rough track, has been thoughtfully transformed into a comfortable holiday home, providing an ideal base from which to enjoy the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. Gorgeous cottage. Perfect location! Ideally situated for the Staffordshire moorlands and the Peak District as well as Stoke on Trent and the potteries. The view from the cottage is one of fields and hills (the Roaches), with sheep in the field adjoining the cottage (this delighted my children). The cottage itself is fantastic - nicely and comfortably furnished, well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of storage. Tea, coffee, sugar all provided and we returned to a box of fresh eggs on our doorstep one day. The cottage is on a working farm, so expect to open gates, drive through a field of cows, etc, to get to the cottage. Excellent wifi signal (for when you can't ignore work emails any longer...). We hope to return!

Lovely little cottage on a farm with a beautiful view of the hills. Well equipped and clean with a decent kitchen. Well positioned for going into the Peak District or into the Potteries in Stoke but you need a car to get everywhere!

We had a wonderful stay at Roaches View Barn. It had everything we needed and more. The barn was clean and modern. We found it all very comfortable and full wifi at all times. Great location for Alton towers.Owners were very friendly and even allowed our girls to feed the sheep. Would definitely stay again.

Very impressed with the cottage. Just what we needed. Should have booked in at Mexican before we went as we couldn't get in either weekend evening. Owners very friendly and accommodating.

Absolutely fantastic. This beautiful property is finished to the highest standards, everything had been thought of and was modern but kept the feel of a cottage. I would particularly recommend the property to parents of young children - they are so well accommodated for-stairgates, highchair, fireguard and even plastic bowls etc were provided-our 2 year old could run around safely and he loved seeing the sheep outside the windows every morning. Peaceful rural setting-we heard no external noise at all during our stay- and also ideally located only 5 minutes from main roads. Owners were really lovely and we cannot wait to book another stay here.

No internet connection and very uncomfortable living room furniture.
