A lovely place in the garden of a nice couple. Good fishing on the River Arrow within a few metres of the accommodation. Alcester is a charming village with all the amenities you could wish for. There are plenty of places to visit within a relatively short distance. This is the second time my wife and I visited and, hopefully it won't be the last.

Lovely cottage with everything you need, wine and rose's too. You feel you could sit on the balcony all day. I saw the kingfisher being chased through the air by another bird, but saw lots of Linnets, and a couple of Robins. As from the pictures, it's not for the infirm. It's good you can go over to the garden. By my feet (5+) it's about 10 feet between the gate you drive through. If your good at backing in or out its OK, if not be careful. Alcester, is fab, you right near the center, but it's peaceful. The people say hello as if they know you. In my opinion (Paula) Coffee Please is the best cafe there. If you want to buy fruit, veg, or fish go to the veg shop next door but one to the best cafe, it's the best. It's easy to get to the forest. Find Primrose Hill, go past the phone box library on the right, turn left at the thatched cottages. Straight up till you come to foot bridge, and it's there, no need to drive. Ragley Hall's a bit pricey, so I'd do it all to get money's worth. If you go to Leamington Spa check out Basement Brown's, they do nice smoothies too. Also if you like a ploughman's lunch, you will love the one's they do in Coffee Please.
