Lakeside, seaside, countryside, hillside…wherever you can picture your perfect cottage, you’ll find it with Welcome Cottages!

Central to many popular towns, including St Ives with the Tate Modern, Mounts Bay and St Michael’s Mount, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole to name but a few.

This delightful, cosy holiday cottage is situated in a small hamlet and adjoins the owners’ home, yet convenient for the main A30, which ensures easy access for exploring West Cornwall, with its mining history and heather clad moorland. From the rugged north coast, popular with surfers, to the tranquil sailing waters of the south coast, this cottage is a haven at any time of the year. The historic town of Marazion is just a short drive away, where guests will find art galleries, curiosity shops and tea rooms. Mount’s Bay’s long sandy beach is overlooked by St Michael’s Mount rising from the sea. The busy town of Penzance is close by with its long promenade, open air lido, marinas, shops, cafés and restaurants. Continue round the coast to the fishing port of Newlyn and the quaint harbour and village of Mousehole. Visit the romantic Minack open air theatre cut in to the rock face with ocean as a back drop, overlooking Porthcurno beach. Land’s End, Britain’s most westerly point and the stunning beach at Sennen are within easy reach. Take the scenic coastal train from nearby St Erth to St Ives, with its picturesque harbour and gorgeous beaches. The azure coloured sea and light attract artists from around the world and is the home to The Tate Modern and Barbra Hepworth Museum. Explore the cobbled streets with cafés and restaurants overlooking the water front. The area is popular with walkers with links to South West Coastal Paths. Visit sub-tropical gardens including Trebah, Durgan and Trelissick. Golf courses, cycle trails and fishing trips are available close by or just simply relax on one of the area’s beautiful beaches. The cottage is the perfect retreat for couples looking for a peaceful holiday at any time of the year. Beach 21/2 miles. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 1 mile.

This is an amazing little cottage, perfectly equipped and honestly the cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. The owners Jan and Dave really do go to great lengths to make your holiday perfect. We have never stayed in the same place twice until we visited here...and this was our third visit! If you are thinking of choosing this cottage then don't hesitate to book, you won't be disappointed.

This is the second time we have stayed at Riverside Cottage, and we have again been treated to Gold Star comfort and hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who want to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible

A very well stocked cottage with everything you could possibly need. The owners live next door and at first I was worried that they could prove to be intrusive which was not the case. We had a very warm welcome and they couldn't have been kinder, we were then left to our own devices. A small and compact cottage.
