Both cottages have a riverside terrace to the rear, ideal for enjoying al-fresco dining and watching the varied wildlife, including otter. With the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park close by, they are ideally placed to explore the beauty of South West Scotland. Perfect for walkers, golfers and cyclists, with Glentrool, Kirroughtree and the 7 Stanes mountain bike trails nearby, as well as a great choice of golf courses. Fishing, bird watching, beautiful and exotic gardens, many rocky coves, sandy beaches and quaint villages to explore along the Machars Peninsula and the towns of Kirkcudbright, Gatehouse of Fleet and Castle Douglas close by. There is a possibility of local anglers on the river bank next to the cottage. Shops, pubs, golf course and restaurants 500 yards.
