Don't be fooled by the name! Stayed 4 nights; wakened 3 mornings by yappy dog next door, then barky dog took over. This was at 7am or really late at 7-30am! The garden is not enclosed, right on side of road. Not the cleanest. Lazy owners that expect guests to rummage in gravel to find door keys, then switch on generator, all power through this. Asked us to switch generator off at night: so we'd have torches and charged lamps to see!! Pictures are views from the cabin: river view😂😂

We booked at very short notice so we're grateful to find anywhere on a bank holiday weekend. The surrounding areas are beautiful although cabin is on roadside with trains going past often. Fantastic for walkers just looking to relax after hard day but not for spending too much time in. All in all we had a great weekend.

Nice log cabin. Beds a bit uncomfortable and the back bedroom was freezing probably because it is so close to the rock face directly behind the cabin. Shower cubical is small and uncomfortable. Even though it stated towels provided we had 6 towels for the whole week for 3 adults and 1 teenager, also no shower mat. Hoover provided that could do with replacing and a mop and bucket would be good to have. You are in the middle of nowhere which we enjoyed but regarding walks there are no trails clearly marked to follow and we couldn't find a way to get across the river. The nearest town/village is a twenty minute walk for fit adults not suitable for small children.
