This is a comfortable, cosy cottage tastefully furnished and decorated. It is situated in a quiet part of the village but close to the local amenities and well located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. I would only suggest that the stone staircase should be carpeted to improve comfort.

The cottage was lovely, very cosy. Everything u needed was there. The flowers and maps were a nice touch. The only thing missing for us was wifi.

the only problem I encountered was parking and rude neighbours putting a note on my car and making comments to me because I drive a large vehicle. the road is narrow and none of the homes on the street have their own parking

It's a lovely cottage. As you come out of the front door there's a wonderful view of the hills. From the back landing and bedroom windows there's a lovely view of the river. The wood burner makes it very cosy. The cottage has everything we could want supplied. The 'caretaker', Ms Philip, is very friendly and welcoming. Lovely bedrooms and bathroom. Lovely sitting room and kitchen. Plenty of space. Very comfortable. Maps, leaflets & very good info. supplied. Our teenage son was disappointed there's no wifi, but I noticed a lot of cottages in the area don't have it. It may cost extra, or be difficult in that area. We didn't mind because it meant he had to interact with us more! We weren't so keen on the Esse cooker, because we're used to a gas cooker. It made the kitchen very warm. But we have no complaints. We loved it there, and will most certainly book it again! We recommend the Dalesman cafe for very good food, and good walks along the canal towpaths. This is one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in, in a lovely welcoming village.
