Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. But owner not contactable when problems arose with the drainage and other areas. No functional washing machine and nowhere to dry muddy or wet stuff. A resident mouse in the living room

lovely position and we have stayed here before. however it needs work caring out as a number of fittings are broken / decoration in poor state. the washer did not work ( i texted about it but no response) Fridge and freezer are past there best and need replacing. really the property needs refurbishing both decoratively and fabric ( i.e. rotten windows) if it was refurbished i would stop here again . also wifi only works about 10% of the time

Well loved old family home. Loved the rural location. My two teenagers really enjoyed swimming in the river as do lots of the locals. Very friendly small village PO & General Store a short walk up the road.

The cottage is in a fantastic location - couldn't ask for better. The garden is lovely and our dog loved swimming in the river every day; it's so nice to have such an animal friendly place to stay. Our ratings would be higher for the cottage had a bit of tlc been afforded to it: - the washing machine did not work (this was reported to the owner) and the furnishings and décor could do with being be updated. We would definitely return and recommend the cottage to others if this were the case.

Lovely cottage and garden in a superb setting with wonderful walks all around but... cottage needs attention - washing machine was broken, heating did not work, bath taps fell off and there was a mouse in the kitchen! Even so, still had a lovely time.

Enjoyable family holiday. 40 - 60 minutes travelling most days to get to where we wanted, but beautiful scenery to drive through. Disappointed that the oil heating ran out two days before end of stay. Difficult to contact the owner - tried phone and mobile and message, but no reply.
