Lakeside, seaside, countryside, hillside...wherever you can picture your perfect cottage, you'll find it with Welcome Cottages!

Description

Enjoy a peaceful holiday at this barn conversion, located on a farm and nestled in the countryside.

Excellent views and walks

These single-storey, semi-detached stable conversions, with fenced front gardens, nestle in countryside only ¼ mile from the road and are part of Chitcombe Farm which affords glorious views across the Tillingham Valley. The farm has been part of the Chitcombe Estate for over 100 years, but is now an independent unit of 100 acres dedicated to totally organic farming with horses and sheep. The sheep are grazed on a rotational basis and at times in the summer, the fields are rested for grass management. During your holiday, guests are welcome to walk the farm along with the plethora of footpaths. Children and pets are made to feel very welcome. Should you tire of the countryside, the bustling historic Cinque Port town of Rye is close by with its curiosity tea shops and galleries. Miles of golden sands await you at Camber - take a ride on the vintage Kent and East Sussex steam railway. Shops, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 2 steps to 1 double, 1 twin, both with beams and en-suite shower room and toilet.

Both properties: Oil central heating and electricity included (£20per week October-April). Bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared laundry facilities. Enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. Grounds. Parking (2 cars).

Cottage was well placed for exploring the area, quiet, situated away from the road. Weather was patchy but we had no problems visiting, Rye, Rye Harbour, Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, K&ESR, Sissinghurst and Winchelsea etc.

19.09.15. we arrived from Hungary. It is very hard to find, according to the post code. The house is situated in beautiful countryside. The house is very nice and tidy. Our family of two parents and two children had. Each of us was room for comfort. The owners are very nice people, but there are good memories! If we can, we will come back again! Everyone warmly recommend it!

We had a great stay at riding cottage with our 3 Labrador's . The cottage was equipped very well and very clean. We especially liked having the acres of land outside the front door to walk the dogs without having to go out in the car. There was also lots of woods / forest's just up the road and the beach was a 15 min drive so the dogs had plenty of veriation to there walks and they loved it . We would defiantly stay again

Very good cottage would stay there again only problem was the track leading to it but hopefully this is being dealt with, had all the things needed to stay there so if you wanted to cook a meal no problem, we were left eggs and milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch,it was near so many things so very handy for going places.
