This attractive first floor holiday apartment lies in the beautiful, wooded, Neaum Crag estate and occupies an excellent central Lakeland location. Less than 3 miles from Ambleside for shopping, cinema and dining out, Redwoods is a tranquil base for a comfortable and relaxing stay in any season. The property features high, beamed ceilings which create a feeling of light and space, whilst furnishings throughout are stylish with coordinating fabrics, and lots of personal touches create a homely atmosphere. Take a gentle walk to Elterwater and Loughrigg Tarn, or enjoy easy access to the surrounding fells (there is a breathtaking panorama from nearby Neaum Crag). Boating and watersports are available only 3 miles away at Grasmere and Lake Windermere.
Shops 2 miles, pub and riverside café/restaurant ½ mile.


External stairs to first floor entrance: Hallway. Spacious, open-plan living/dining room with electric fire in feature fireplace and door to suntrap balcony.     The apartment was well equipped and the location very attractive with immediate access to beautiful walks. Although the pool was small, the water was warm and we enjoyed using it when it was quiet. Free internet access was only available at the nearby leisure center so the lack of reception on our mobiles was a nuisance at times. Otherwise, we had a great stay in a beautiful location and would come back.

Just wanted to point out that Wi-Fi is also available at the apartment itself, you just log in using the instructions shown in the house book. Whilst it is true that mobile signal strength in the Lakes can vary in poor weather, we are actually better off than the whole of Ambleside! Anyway, pleased to hear you enjoyed your recent holiday at Redwoods and may stay with us again.

    Lovely apartment, could do with updating the sofas as they aren't very comfy, but look nice. Nice little welcome pack and treats. Very steep hillside location, glad we were in the 4x4 as I'd hated to have to have driven up there in the manual car. The parking is very very tight and someone scraped our car whilst parked.

    Response on behalf of the owner; We are sorry that you experienced a parking problem. Parking in a numbered bay would only be tight if someone else parks badly nearby but, as described in the house-book, there are 5 other unreserved spaces within the car park (for just our few apartments) plus a huge secondary parking area around the corner. In 13 years of renting, no one has suggested before that a 4x4 is necessary - whilst it is true that the Neaum Crag is a forested location, our private estate road actually has 8 'speed-bumps'!
