Superb farmhouse accommodation with excellent facilities, situated above the River Derwent in tranquil surroundings.

This impressive former farmhouse is the perfect base for large family gatherings, groups on outdoor activity breaks and corporate meetings, one couple used it for their wedding reception. It has eight double/twin bedrooms all with en suite facilities and a hot water system to meet the demand and excellent kitchen, drying and toilet facilities. Redmain Hall Farm is situated in the village of Redmain, three miles from Cockermouth in the Lake District National Park and is surrounded by open fields with lovely fell views. The property is accessed along a shared lane which is occasionally used by farm vehicles.  It has the best of both worlds, a beautiful rural location with a wealth of amenities within five minutes drive. Guests with mobility problems and the elderly  will find the facilities on the ground floor, including bedroom, wet room and two toilets most convenient.Shop 3 miles, pub 2 miles and restaurant 3 miles.

    Three generations of the family stayed at Redmain Hall Farm over the new year period 2016/2017. Had a couple of questions for the owner before our arrival (e.g. are fireworks permitted?) Had no problem with speaking to her and she was most helpful with a number of questions of ours. She was also very detailed in her directions which helped us immensely! The farmhouse itself was lovely and clean and very roomy for all 16 of us. It was super that all the bedrooms were en suite too and downstairs had loads of room for all ages to do their own thing! Beautiful views out of the cottage and a lovely walk down to the river. Kitchens were very well equipped with more than enough plates, glasses etc for us to use. Overall a beautiful cottage and a lovely part of the country with plenty to see and do. Would highly recommend!!

    We thought this property was excellent in every respect. If it could possibly be improved at all then it would be by having a small grass area for younger children to play on (we had a 2 year old, 3 year old and 4 year old in our party).
