We loved it, my partner said it’s like a tardis from the outside so small and quaint and then when you’re in, so spacious and welcoming with lovely fire for after our walks. We couldn’t fault it and what more could you ask for than the lovely Red Lion pub and restaurant to serve wonderful food and the staff so friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend and go there again.

What a lovely place to make your holiday headquarters. Being close to the pub is convenient and NOT a drawback at all. Very quiet. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Good location for exploring Shropshire (a lovely county!). Very welcoming hosts. The pub serves good food and is also welcoming, as is the village. One very, very minor quibble: a pot holder would be a nice addition to the cottage supplies. I would recommend highly this cottage.

Lovely place to base ourselves as we explored this part of the country first the first time. The cottage was so cute. Had everything you would need and any one taking a dog would find this a great place to stay. The pub and all the staff were very welcoming. The chef supplied us with great quality food at reasonable prices. All in all a successful short break for us.

The cottage was an excellent base . Although sited in the pub car park there was no disturbance from other guests. The landlords and all their staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the chef was very helpful in adapting dishes to meet our need for gluten free options. Myddle is a pleasant, quiet village with just one small shop. We picked up groceries at the supermarket on the edge of Shrewsbury. We chose the cottage for its central location which allowed us to visit a variety of places from Powis Castle to Ironbridge, Pontcyscllte aqueduct to potteries at Stoke on Trent.

This was an absolute gem - the lodge was lovely and clean and we found it well equipped. Very cozy. Loved it and would definitely recommend and would love to return. We were made to feel welcome upon arrival and had lunch in the Red Lion pub which was excellent - food and service.

A great find. Friendly staff, quiet (even though it's right next to the pub) and comfy.

Excellent designer cottage, very comfortable, with many outstanding features, like the two ensuite wet rooms, all bizarrely surrounded by a pub car park that doesn't create any noise or nuisance at all. A very good base for visiting Shrewsbury & Ellesmere by bus, and all Shropshire by car. Meals in Red Lion also impressive. Highly recommended.
