The owner was lovely and we enjoyed our stay but think we would prefer less bedrooms next time and a bit more space in the bathroom and living area. The kitchen was not terribly well equipped for cooking with few pans and we couldn't get the washing machine to work. As the heating is fired from the fire, it was chilly in the mornings. There were hardly any sockets in the rooms and lighting was bad for reading. I would not want to place a critical review as the owner was so nice but the property does need a little modernising.

Being an older couple, we are veterens of many such holidays in the past but we can honestly say that the genuine warmth of the welcome received here from the owners is unequalled! The extremely generous welcome pack was also very much appreciated. This is a truely delightful apartment - warm, comfortable and homely. The owners have thought of everything to make this a lovely holiday home. Tarbert is an ideal base for touring: We visited the islands of Arran and Islay from here and there are just so many fantastic drives locally and further afield. We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can!

A fantastic place to stay with great views over the harbour. A bit chilly in the apartment as the peat burner is not very effective but there were plenty of electric heaters to take the edge off. The oven door does not shut properly meaning our dinner took rather a long time to cook, but there are several great restaurants around (Starfish, The Kilberry Inn) and an excellent fishmonger for kippers and fresh fish of all types. Lovely to be welcomed to the apartment with a hamper containing necessary basics like milk bread and butter and half a dozen free range eggs from their own hens.
