A very warm welcome. The house had a lovely feel to it and was well equipped. Perfect location for seafront and city centre. And so dog friendly with owners supplying bowls and towels, plus other human essentials...bread milk etc.

Excellent house, fabulous location. The owners were great. We really appreciated the milk, bread, butter and cake that were there on our arrival! The only one minor improvement would be to have a dishwasher in the house. But if you’re eating out a lot then it wouldn’t be an issue. Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely go again.

Probably the best equipped and thought out property we've stayed in. Location was superb a few hundred yards to the seafront, right by the i360 and the Churchill Square shopping centre is less than a 5 minute walk. There is a Waitrose and a Sainsbury's local very close by. We stayed during Christmas week, found the property to be in a quiet position considering it's location. Garage is wide inside, so great for unloading and loading. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed an Autumn break at Queensbury Cottage. Great location for exploring Brighton. The owners were welcoming and helpful and supplied us with some useful basic food items. The cottage is clean and well appointed and in a quiet place. Lots to visit in the locality, including the i360 tower which was a great experience. Very dog friendly. We hope to stay again next year.

Our holiday was superb at this house, we enjoyed it so much. Thelocation was within easy reach of the beach and amenities and I could barely fault the people, cottage and amenities they provided. The reason I gave the scores I did is more to do with the coages location in Brighton itself, the first night we stayed there (with young children) and saw stark examples of 'street dealing' right outside our window which was most disconcerting and a couple of days later we were 'treated' to a man staggering about in the street in front of us unable to speak or even move properly due to some form of intoxication so much so the police were involved. I cant fault the property other then the garage, dont go if you have anything more than a family saloon, my 5 series barely fitted and it was practically impossible to get in and out without it being a family effort of 'to me to you' and 'left hand down'. 4 x 4s wouldnt stand a chance. It was also quite pricey, but everything else was superb. What I will say is if you want a family holiday, go somewhere else. The beach is sharp stones, and Brighton has changed. The locals have a heads down, subdued manner and the atmosphere is somewhat dark. Without going into various other experiences (including verbal attacks from the road) we felt unsafe after about 5pm venturing outside of the cottage with evidence of gangs, crime and massive alcoholism everywhere we looked. Life in the big city..... If you have a family, for pitys sake pick another location, if you are young people going to enjoy the scene, you'll enjoy it but tell someone where you are going every night.....

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay at our property and that you enjoyed your holiday so much. We have been letting our property for 8 years and some of our guests have been staying with us right from the beginning and are returning for their 7th & 8th holiday, many of them have young families too. We feel we offer excellent value for money, which is why we are always busy with bookings. Our garage has a standard up and over garage door; the inside has a large utility area making it bigger than the average garage. If you are able to park your car in an average garage, you will have no problem with ours! You noticed on arrival that our Volvo XC70 estate car was parked in the garage quite comfortably; many of our guests have parked their 4x4 vehicles and estate cars without any problems. Brighton certainly does have a shingle beach. We were very surprised to read your anti Brighton comments, which are most uncharacteristic and out of context to any other comments we have received in 8 years! If you read all our other reviews, we have numerous very happy guests who stay with us time and time again and who come to enjoy all the delights that Brighton has to offer. Brighton is a vibrant, colourful, cosmopolitan city where there is something for everyone, especially young families and all within easy walking distance of our property. We feel your comments about Brighton are extremely unfair and in no way consistent with our usual feedback.

Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was perfect, just a few minutes stroll to seafront, shops, restaurants etc. To top it all the garage was a godsend as parking in Brighton is very tricky and expensive. All in all if you are staying in Brighton you probably can't better this property.

Friendly greeting from Steve on arrival. Very nice to have a welcome pack. Whole house was well equipped and very clean. Having the garage was an added bonus. It's in a great position to enjoy all that Brighton has to offer.
