We thought that Purcombe Farmhouse would be good, but we were blown away by it. The house is large as are all the main rooms and bedrooms. Every room well equipped and ample storage space. The owners seem to have thought of everything and we took a lot of gear we didn’t need. The kitchen literally has all equipment needed, much more than the occupants would need. This is not a show house it is a very comfortable, traditionally furnished farmhouse in a very quiet location with a beautiful garden and fantastic views. We were very lucky with the weather but it would be great even if the weather was not so good. Will definitely be visiting again

We had an amazing time, shame about the weather but it didn't spoil it for us. The farmhouse was filled with lovely things to do which kept the children happy. When we arrived to the smell of bread being cooked we knew we were going to have a great time. We will be back when the weather is better.

Very nice cottage, excellent for our all male group of 9. Two lounges a real plus, good size kitchen and dining room and the hot tub a real hit . All the rooms clean and tidy when we arrived and the bread, tea and biscuits a good touch. Only downside is that it is a long walk to the local pub and the dodgy drive up from the main road to the cottage.

George was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The house offered space enough for everyone and the al fresco area was perfect for getting together and having fun. The hot tub and table tennis were hits with us all.

A very good week we had at this cottage and would be going back. The weather wasn't good but you can't blame anyone for that. The cottage had everything you would need, plus food for your1st meal. Must thank the owner for letting me plug my car into the electric. (Electric car) and it was nice to get a postcard from them thanking me for cleaning up after we left.

We had a lovely week at Purcombe cottage. The owner was very help full when needed to also left us to get on with our holiday. Lovely spacious accomadation and the outdoor eating area and garden were splendid even in the rain. It is on a working farm so the track to and from the cottage is a little challenging as stated when you book, but for us it was worth it. It was great to see the calves that had just been born and we really appreciated the thoughtful welcome package after a long journey. Area is beautiful and we loved seeing the broadchurch beach and farm shop! Well acommadated for our dogs who had a great time too.

We had the most fantastic girl's weekend here for my mum's 60th. The cottage, particularly the kitchen, had absolutely everything we could ever need and was extremely clean and tidy. The setting was just perfect and the hot tub was a bonus. The cottage is well away from any shops etc but once Tescos delivered our shop, we didn't really want to be near any amenities and enjoyed the rural life. The owner was extremely kind in lending us the one thing we forgot but really did need - lasagne sheets! We hired in local therapist, Lisa Scadden, for the day, which topped off our stay. We are already planning our next return, this place is an absolute gem.

What a wonderful weekend for 3 generations of our family from 4 - 77 years young. The Farmhouse was superb, being well appointed, well equipped and enormous even for our group of 10 & 2 large dogs, never felt we were tripping over each other at anytime. The host were really nice, explaining the facilities but also no pressure for us to depart as they had no guests coming in on the day we were leaving - very generous and kind. The facilities were excellent, Spa pool, large gardens with an outdoor dining area by the BBQ but also badminton, croquet & table tennis were available not to mention the water guns....I said don't mention the...too late soaked again!!! Such a great weekend, none of us really wanted to leave but sadly real life beckoned.

We all had a wonderful stay at Purcombe Farmhouse. Fell in love with the cottage and garden and a week of ending the day playing badminton, chess, table tennis and chilling in the hot tub was perfect for all us adults and children. The cottage was well equipped and each room was perfect size, 2 lounges worked brilliantly and the dining room was absolutely the right size. The owners were welcoming to the extent that we received a lovely hamper of goodies from their farm range - there was no need but it definitely was much appreciated and enjoyed. They greeted us and passed us their details, so were on hand if we needed anything - not that we did, and more importantly left us to enjoy our holiday. Beaches, coastal walks, canoeing, restaurants were all within a 15 minute drive.
