Uninterrupted countryside views from this barn conversion, with woodburner, wealth of wildlife on the doorstep, Baconsthorpe Castle close by.

These two semi-detached holiday properties (refs 28352 and W43427) are set amidst rolling countryside with beautiful ’big skies’. Puddle Barn (ref 28352) benefits from uninterrupted views across the open countryside. The location, provides great opportunities to view visiting wildlife, including barn owls, monk jack and red deer. Market towns, fine sandy beaches, RSPB bird and nature reserves, and NT historical homes and gardens can all be found nearby. Places to visit include Baconsthorpe Castle, 3 miles, the Georgian market town of Holt, 6 miles and the city of Norwich, 15 miles, with its excellent shopping, cathedral, castle museum, art galleries, market square, theatre, fine restaurants and cafés. Sheringham is 6 miles away, with the North Norfolk Steam Railway, an excellent sandy beach, Splash Aqua indoor swimming pool and town centre with shops, pubs and cafés. The seaside resort of Cromer is 7 miles and has a pier, promenade, sandy beach, RNLI museum and working lifeboat station. The properties are an hour’s drive from the famous Norfolk Broads, with their miles of inland waterways, bird life, daily boat hire and river trips, as well as waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. Historical halls such as Felbrigg, Blickling and Holkham are all within easy driving distance. The famous North Norfolk Coast at Cley-next-the-Sea is about 10 miles away, with regular seal trips from Morston and Blakeney, as well as many good coastal walks. Direct from the door are miles of quiet lanes for excellent cycling and walking. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

    No toilet roll on arrival after a 2 hr drive, no bin bags, blunt knives that don't cut a tomato, thin walls mean you can hear next door shower, blind cords not secure for children's safety, garden needs a gate, children's travel cot not supplied with mattress or covers - had to drive Ho,e to get it !!! Lots of rules, including hoovering before you leave which I do t expect while on holiday and for top money ! Overall wasn't that impressed Not sure why I had to pay £50 extra for 2 dogs when I had to hoover !

    Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you for your feedback this is very useful and helps us improve our accommodation for future guests. We were surprised you found the toilet paper inadequate as we do supply toilet paper in each bathroom for your convenience on your arrival. We also leave all rubbish bins with a liner and our caretakers normally leave a few extra bin liners hand soap and dishwasher tabs under the sink. This is a self-catering property but we do provide items like hand soap in each bathroom to make your stay more pleasant. Our blinds are fully compliant with current regulations. We will however ask our caretakers to check the cords are still attached to the wall brackets. The knives meet the requirements of our agent Cottages4you but we will also ask the caretaker to check that the knife sharpener is in a more prominent position. The cot we provide is a travel cot.These are not supplied with a mattress or covers. The instructions from the agent are very clear on this and they are in the terms and conditions of the contract. These are for the safety of infants. Our only rule is that "you leave us as you found us". Perhaps the other rules you refer to concerning pet charges and hoovering are the terms and conditions set out in the contract with the agent. These are standard for a self-catering property and apply to everyone. We were surprised to hear your comments about the noise from the next door shower. This is the first time we have had any issue with the shower. The floor of the bedroom is fully soundproofed and fully compliant with the current sound proof regulations. It does not have a party wall. I am sorry you felt there should be a gate on the garden however the property description does not specify a gate although we do in fact have a gate and a fence between the property and the lane.

    For a dog friendly rental I was surprised at the number of rules. However the barn was very comfortable with a stunning view.

    Cosy and comfortable, a place you want to stay at rather than just use as a base. It's high spec, but so is the price! For this reason, l wasn't expecting to have to clean and strip the beds on leaving or replace the logs (which put us off using the log burner), but it a great place and we would stay again. You have to reverse your car in through a narrow gate from a quite country lane, as there is no room to turn around. Would be great if the bushes could be cut back so you can see if anything is coming.
