On the banks of the canal, in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, overlooking narrow boat moorings.

This small, ground floor studio apartment is situated on the banks of the picturesque canal in the very centre of Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon. The area offers a magical blend of heritage and drama in and around Shakespeare’s home town. This is an ideal holiday base for anyone wishing to enjoy Stratford’s attractions. It is near to theatres including the worlds largest classical theatre company, shops and historic houses, exhibitions and great traditional markets. Open-topped buses offering conducted tours of the town leave from nearby, and boats may be hired at the local River Avon basin. The studio overlooks the narrow-boat moorings alongside a canal-side pub. A car is not required in Stratford, but there are plenty of interesting places to visit in the surrounding countryside. Shop and restaurant 200 yards, pub 50 yards.

All on ground floor: Living room/double bedroom. Kitchen. Shower room with toilet.

NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared lawned garden. Parking (1 car). No smoking.

The location is perfect for enjoying Stratford's attractions, which is enhanced by its own dedicated parking space. The flat is pretty small -- more like a bedsit -- and the kitchen is essentially a galley so not really suitable for any serious cooking (though all the essentials are provided if you want to try). The flat looks on to the canal wildlife and there is a pub directly across the road from it. Despite it being a ground-floor apartment, there was no disturbance from the occupants above. The only points stopping Puck's Place getting a full 5 stars are the shower and hot water system where the pressure is a bit weak, and the mattress, which was a touch softer than I like. Despite these particular points, it was excellent value for money and proved ideal for a quiet 'get away from Christmas' break. We will seriously consider trying to book it again, perhaps for a time when the weather is nicer.

The property was smaller than previous properties I have stayed in and the internet connection was very intermittent. Previously I have been given the details to connect to a certain internet but this time I had to make do with a service that I managed to find but that was not on all the time. I thought that the state of Pucks Place could have been better - nothing major just little things like marking on the cooker and the kitchen floor could have been cleaner.

Wonderfully conveniently located, so close to the centre but extremely quiet and easily accessed with a designated parking space. The living area of the apartment is very compact - largely taken up with the double bed, so one wouldn't wish to spend much time in it, but the kitchen is excellent and well equipped, and the bathroom too is fine.

Just as we had imagined it would be. Not as noisy as we had thought it might be. In fact very peaceful. Good pub nearby too, shops in easy walk. Good parking. ,

Great place and great location. Very small but this is more than made up for by fantastic location. Canal right outside window! Shame previous occupants smoked. Smell was overpowering!! Still we have been five or six times now and never had cause to complain. Love it!

Small but comfortable in an ideal location to enjoy a short break in Stratford. Plenty of eateries and things to do all within walking distance.

Compact, cosy & great location - just minutes from the city centre & RSC. A studio style flat but perfect for two people. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday, apart from a washing machine, but there are laundromats in town. There's also the additional bonus of a view overlooking the river. It's just lovely to watch the canal boats floating by, also the swans & ducks. A very relaxing, comfortable little place.

This apartment is ideally placed to visit Stratford and all it has to offer. You don't need to use the car at all if you don't want to and, with the added bonus of its own parking space it was a bonus. Right at the side of the canal, and an easy walk along the canal to Bancroft gardens. The apartment was sufficiently big enough for two for a studio flat. It perhaps could do with freshening up decor and kitchen layout wise. The cooker is a bit dated but usable. The only down side was the exceptionally poor shower. The visitor book said it was new last year but it didn't get any hotter than Luke warm and was hardly any power behind it. That said, it didn't detract from our enjoyment. We visited all os the Shakespeare birthplace trust buildings. Can recommend walking to Anne Hathaway cottage, if it's fine weather. It's about 3 miles return journey and a really enjoyable walk. Charlecote park is also worth a visit. Sheep street has lots of places to eat, and Stratford itself has plenty of dining options.would definitely use pucks place again if we visit that area.
