When we arrived at the cottage it was not clean. There were hairs in the bed an dust on the bookcase. We also had no hot water for the duration of our stay and could only shower for a short period of time and couldn't bath.

Ideally located for Windermere and water sports. Friendly local people and lovely view of the lake from the cottage. Private access to the lake is much appreciated. Friendly local cat!

We have now stayed at lake view several times and we have always loved it but now a few improvements have been made which has made it even better, a lovely cosy little gem in a perfect location.

This was described as an end of terrace cottage, but it's in fact the 2nd one along - we thought it was more a mews or chalet than a cottage, a lot smaller than we were expecting but it was fine for us. The 2nd bedroom is incredibly small so we were glad we only had 1 teenager with us and not both. The door just misses the bunk bed and there's no much space to stand. We struggled with space to put shoes, empty suitcases, walking boots and wet suits. Having said that, its decorated nicely, well stocked kitchen, comfy bed with the mattress topper and nice reclining couch. The views are excellent too. The bench outside was abit rusty, but fine with a rug and cushions to sit on. Just be aware if you leave your bedroom window open ajar at night, you might get the local cat coming in and walking over you at 6am!!
