Located near to some amazing beaches, property is situated with easy reach of local amenities as well as Dunster Castle.


Located in the heart of the medieval village of Dunster, this well-appointed, detached bungalow is very well positioned to enjoy all the delights that Dunster and this stunning part of Somerset have to offer. Situated in a quiet back street, this holiday property is within easy walking distance of all the local shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as Dunster Castle (NT). During early December, the Dunster Candlelight Festival is well worth a visit. There are many highlights to enjoy during your stay in the area. Minehead is home to the main station for the famous West Somerset Steam Railway, which travels along the coast before heading inland to Bishops Lydeard. This seaside resort also offers a beach and promenade where you can enjoy a stroll and an ice cream. There are regular bus services along the coast to such highlights as Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth. If you are coming with children, a day ticket can be purchased for Butlins on the seafront. There is some great walking to be done in the area on both the South West Coast Path and within Exmoor National Park. There are beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    We stayed in the bungalow last year as we love Dunster but this year the bungalow was very grubby. The bedding as wellwas yellowed and had dirty marks on it and blood as well. It has put us off booking next year and we are looking at other options.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry your stay wasn’t as enjoyable as your previous visit, we still maintain the same high standard of cleaning as we always have as our previous reviews show, we home launder all our bedding and steam press them ourselves so we are unsure of your comments and how this has happened for which we apologise, we would have addressed this situation if you had notified us during your stay.

    This is an ideally situated bungalow with easy access to the amenities of Dunster and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The property is warm and welcoming with all one needs for a relaxing stay. The garden is a bonus. Parking was readily available in the street if a little narrow.

    We enjoyed the cottage was set with stunning view out the windows and leaving to walk into the village. Would stay their again , could easily live their as my home.

    The parking is horrendous - car badly damaged by unknown passer-by - recovered to home by AA. This was our first Autumn/Winter holiday and the property was initially very cold and only warmed up when we were leaving.

    Great location, with easy access to dog friendly Minehead and Exmoor. Slight issue with parking.....try to avoid school start and finish times. Excellent facilities at the property. Will definitely be going again.

    Excellent location for coast and Exmoor. Parking was OK, but it would have been reassuring to have an allocated space. We enjoyed our week - thank you.
