Charming family accommodation, close to an extensive network of footpaths, stately homes and racecourses.

This charming, detached 16th-century cottage is steeped in character, boasting stunning beamwork, huge inglenooks with open fires, part wood/part flagstone floor and Victorian-style bathroom. The property has nearby access to an extensive network of footpaths, leading to this unspoilt part of the low weald, a haven for birds and wildlife.
The quaint town of Petworth is 4 miles away, with its plentiful antique shops, beautiful stately home and Capability Brown park, where live music concerts and outdoor theatre can be enjoyed during the summer months. The charming small town of Midhurst, famous for Polo at Cowdray Park is also a short drive, as are Billingshurst, Haslemere and Guildford. Goodwood, with its motor and horse racing, Fontwell races, Leonardslee, West Dean Gardens, Parham House, The Weald and Downbland open air museum and the South Downs are all within easy driving distance. Chichester has an ancient cathedral, tea rooms, extensive shopping, festival theatre and harbour tours, or alternatively Arundel also has a castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. The Witterings and other beaches are half an hour’s drive, and numerous golf courses are within easy reach. Shops 4 miles, pub ¼ mile.

Lovely cottage in Kirdford - perfect setting for a long weekend away with a group of friends for a wedding at Bartholomew Barn.

characterful cottage with lots of space both inside and out. Well equipped kitchen with a decent cooker on which to cook for eight hungry people. Low beams and doorways caused some problems, but not too many bruises!

Lovely, well equipped cottage, very nearby local shop/cafe with friendly staff. Private gardens and plenty of room for kids to run about and explore. Lots of scenic walks from the cottage grounds.

An excellent venue for a family anniversary week end .Plenty of space and the 2 year olds loved running around in the garden. Fully equipped, full of character but also comfortable and quiet. Good location for touring the area, though bigger supermarkets are less handy. Both village pubs welcoming and the food at The Half Moon on a busy Sunday lunch was very good. Would not hesitate to return.

Wonderful property with all the character you hope for when planning a family get together- the fireplace and the kitchen table really made it all work.

Beautiful cottage set in lovely grounds. Being winter we had the log fire burning which added to the coziness. There were a couple of pubs and village store within walking distance.
