Potter Wheel is five and a half miles south of Coniston Village, on the south western side of Coniston Water. Set well back from the main road, in one and a quarter acres of woodland and only 100 metres from the lake, Potters Wheel has direct access to the Lake shore for fishing, sailing and simply enjoying getting your feet wet. Potters Wheel is an end of terrace cottage, totally refurbished by its owner to provide excellent facilities to ensure a most enjoyable and unforgettable holiday. Leaded windows, a wall formed out of rock, and beams are a reminder of the property’s antiquity and, combined with modern facilities such as a fitted bathroom and top of the range kitchen, the cottage now has a successful mix of ancient and modern - and all within a stones throw of Coniston Water!
Ground Floor: Accessed up a gentle slope, Potters Wheel has oil fired central heating and comprises: Lounge: With multi fuel stove in original setting, Flatscreen TV with Sky which includes digital radio, DVD player and a range of DVDs. Kitchen/Diner: With an excellent range of facilities, including electric cooker with double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Bedroom 1: Twin bedroom with glimpses of the Lake. Bathroom: With corner bath, hand basin and WC.
First Floor: Bedroom 2: A spiral staircase leads from the lounge to a romantic double bedroom with four poster bed, pine floors and pine furniture - please note that the staircase is rather narrow, but the bedroom also has original Lakeland stone steps to access it from outside for taking in luggage, if required.
All oil, electric, bed linen included. Fuel for the multi fuel stove is available at a cost locally. Travel cot, highchair and payphone available.There is woodland around the cottage, with natural fell side down to the lake. There is garden furniture and a BBQ. Parking area to the front. Will only accept 2 well behaved dogs.
