We have been using Polgarth since 2012 on a yearly basis. Parking here is a premium so to have your own space is invaluable although there is a very narrow road to navigate to access the parking space so larger vehicles may struggle. The cottage is in a great location on the outskirts of Port Isaac but within minutes you are in the heart of the village. The staircase is very steep so if you are of limited mobility you may find it a bit difficult. The bathroom has just undergone a renovation and is beautifully equipped with a large stand alone bath and a step in waterfall shower.

This is our third stay at Polgarth so that speaks for itself. We love it and will almost certainly return! Location in Port Isaac is perfect for us - an easy walk downhill to the harbour but high enough up the hill so that you have lovely views from the garden and bedroom windows. Private parking is also a luxury in this part of the village although it's quite tight getting in and out. As we have a dog, the enclosed garden is also a bonus. This time we did have a few issues with the cottage upon our arrival but we were delighted with how the owner and housekeeper dealt with them and it certainly didn't spoil our holiday.

Relaxing and enjoyable 2 weeks with loads to do. Not brilliant weather but that didn't really matter as so much to do in the area.

Polgarth is in a lovely location, with plenty of parking and pleasant roof top views from the garden and partial sea views from the upstairs front windows. Positives: The house is well equipped with a big smart TV, a great little bluetooth speaker, fast Wi-Fi and a new bathroom. The location is quiet and 5 mins walk to the beach. The bedrooms are big and comfortable - although one double bed is very noisy! Literally wakes you up if your partner gets up in there night! There are TVs in every bedroom - which was a treat for our kids and a great source of extra lie-in for us! The new bathroom is nice, although the shower enclosure is a bit tight. What could be better: Cleaning. We spent 1 hour cleaning when we arrived. The Floor downstairs was filthy and the dust under he sofa pretty shocking. The bathroom needed a deep clean and as such the kitchen, which didn't appear to bad got a thorough clean too. Even my 6 year old said "oh my gosh, this floor is gross!". There's simply no excuse for this - very disappointing. We didn't let that spoil Polgarth for us. The kitchen needs a de-clutter. Make better use of the utility room. The was absolutely nothing in terms of welcome pack - not even a pint of milk - that's tight as... when it's nearly £1000 for a week.
