A gem of a cottage, fantastic contemporary interior. Super clean and well equipped. Situated in a beautiful rural location near the Derbyshire /Cheshire border. We had a wonderful break. Would like to come back for a longer stay next time ☺

Nice cottage. Despite near a busy shortcut road which I didn't mind, I found it usually quiet which, I booked it for. That's why I prefer a detached cottage.

We had a lovely and very comfortable stay at Plattin Inn. It is beautifully set up and is situated in the most picturesque countryside with lovely views and easy access to the rest of the Peak District. It is quite possible to walk from the cottage and explore the locality. There is a very nice pub on the other side of the road which serves excellent food and then there are two more pubs within a couple of miles. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was comfortable, clean and cosy. Amazing views. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need. A very quiet and tranquil place with great walks straight from the cottage door.

This is a beautiful cottage, which is well equipped and very clean. The bed is very comfortable, but cloth hanging space is limited. The energy saving light bulbs are old and slow to warm up, especially in the bathroom. These could be replaced with newer faster reacting energy saving bulbs. Unfortunately what the owners can not change is the road this cottage is next to. We stayed when it was hot so needed doors and windows open, the noise of the traffic started at 06:00 then continued well into late evening. It was particularly bad during the rush hour, this road is used as a 'rat run' to avoid the 50 limit on the Cat and Fiddle road. Having a BBQ at the back of the cottage was not the enjoyable experience it should have been because of the traffic noise, nor having breakfast outside. If staying when doors and windows can be kept closed the road noise may not be such an issue. Jane and Martin have done a wonderful job on the renovation and if this cottage could be on a quieter road we would not hesitate to return.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your kind comments about our cottage. Im sorry to hear that you felt you were unable to eat on the patio during your stay, as this is something that many of our holidaymakers enjoy doing. It has come to our attention that there are temporary road works on the cat and fiddle road just above the cottage, with traffic lights in place. It appears that drivers may be using the lane to avoid the traffic lights, so we expect the traffic to return to normal levels when the work is complete.

In my girlfriends words "The best holiday she's ever been on and the cutest little cottage she's ever been in" in my words I have to say I agree completely with her. We had an amazingly time and we will be returning next year we have already decided. It's in a lovely location and it is just lovely to go walking and "sheep seeing" as there are many sheep near by overall a beautiful cottage and a big thank you to Jane and Martin for allowing us to have the cottage for our holiday!
