We love the position of this cottage an easy walk to beautiful Brancaster beach. The cottage is so lovely with it's south facing garden, cosy lounge and comfortable bedrooms, we had a fabulously relaxing time during our stay. Already booked to go back next year!

Cosy and comfortable cottage with nice enclosed patio type garden (a real sun trap) - as the cottage backs onto a main road it could be quite noisy (especially at night) but apart from this, the cottage is cosy and relaxing, especially good for dogs as you don't worry about being too 'precious' with floors etc (although we did make sure that 'paws' were wiped before going into the lounge etc). The cottage had all 'mod cons' and a great dish washer and washing machine. Nice to be able to put the central heating on in the evening when it dropped cold. Brancaster is a beautiful area with lovely walkers on the doorstep plus the beach 15 minutes walk away. All in all, not a fancy cottage but relaxing and comfy.

So the location we found great. Just up from the beach with access to the coast path and brancaster walks very easy. The ship pub almost next door. The apartment is a good size for a family of four. In my opinion it needs renovating but also I have to confess the price probably fits the property also it's a dog friendly apartment so will take some rough use. If completely renovated would be 20% more I guess. The little paved garden is straight outside the kitchen and we ate out every meal including breakfast. It's lovely and sheltered. It's on the crossroads so there is some road noise. Low door frames and low hanging lights... I'm 6ft 2in so banged my head frequently. Kitchen is well equipped. Parking for 2 cars off road is good. A great bolthole especially for dog walkers but if you want deluxe look elsewhere.

The cottage was in essence good, comfortable chairs in the living room, even if the electric reclining feature had been disabled! Some books and DVDs for the evenings. The kitchen had all I needed with one exception, see later, and the bedrooms and bathroom were adequate; good shower over the bath. There was a little 'sun room' which caught the sun the morning, shame the radio reception was so poor in there. Small enclosed garden which would be nice to sit in if the weather were warm enough. When we arrived there was a note from the previous tenant about the microwave 'sparking' and making noises so they had unplugged it; nothing was done about this which did not matter for a short break but would have been very inconvenient for a two week holiday. There is a plethora of information about the cottage in different places, this could be condensed and all the out of date stuff removed. There were strict instructions about not tampering with the central heating timings, some said it came on once a day for the whole day and others that it was twice a day. This might have been all right had the clock not been about 6 hours late. I put it on continuous and used the thermostat, what else could I do with a disabled husband who feels the cold? The radiators also need bleeding. It is advertised as having a washer/dryer which has obviously been replaced with a washer, again did not matter for a few days but would have been very annoying for two weeks with a lot of rain!
