This is the third time I have stayed at this cottage with three different owners, this time it was just about perfect. Well done to the new owners.

Lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage in an area of outstanding natural beauty. What else would you want?

Well presented, comfortable and clean cottage. Wifi worked well, well stocked kitchen and spacious. Nice outdoor area has been added, clean, tidy, nice spot for eating outside. A welcome pint of milk be nice, especially if arriving later on, as have to then go back to Alnwick, but no reflection on cottage as a whole. Great location, 15 - 20 mins walk to the beach, 15 mins drive to A1 and Alnwick. There was a local shop which seemed well stocked for essentials, local pub, restaurant and hotel all serving food, didn't try but seems like good reviews from others. Overall pleasant and welcoming.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location. Addition of the garden was great.

I have stayed in many cottages over the years but this is the best one yet. It was absolutely immaculate and the directions on how to get there were really useful in a county that tends to have unmarked roads! We were down here for my son's wedding and hiring the cottage for the weekend was a much cheaper and much more pleasant option than staying at the venue and it was only 4 miles away. It also gave us the opportunity to explore parts of Northumberland that I had not seen for years. The cottage had everything we needed including ironing board and two hairdryers (!). The TV and wi-fi worked well as did the washing machine and the central heating was easy to operate although it was so warm that we hardly used it. There is a small shop in the village for milk, bread, alcohol and other essentials (!) and a garage for fuel which was very useful. If you need anything other than this then Alnwick and Seahouses are the nearest towns. Embleton is a beautiful little village on a stunning part of the Northumberland coastline and we did the nice walk through the sand dunes to the fabulous beach where we could see Dunstanburgh castle on the distant cliffs. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to discover the peace and tranquility of Northumberland.

Had a great time. The cottage was very clean well equipped and the dog blanket was a nice touch. The weather was great which helps with the walking.

Lovely accommodation with really tasteful decoration and carefully considered furnishings. WIFI and TV all worked fine with appliances included to make a great self catering stay. Really clean and caters for pets too. Only gave amenities an 8 because there is only one store, however it is a small village and the pubs and beach walks makes up for all of this. Great location to reach Bamburgh, Seahouses and Anwick, with miles of coastal walks with stunning scenery and castles. Great place for a break. Thank you.

Dirty pans and microwave oven, no tea towels, plastic mattress covers and a truly uncomfortable cheap double mattress ruined the property. Way too many instructions of the 'do this, don't do that' type. Of the 40 or so of these types of cottages we've stayed in over the years this was in the bottom five. However, the location is one of the best.
