The cottage was very clean and as our family likes to cook the local food . The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with all types of utensils. The log burner was great and yes even in June we used this on a rainy afternoon! Our group consisted of 3 adults and 2 dogs and we felt as though we had plenty of space. The only negative things were the back garden was not secure which meant keeping an eye on the dogs and the main sofa in the lounge could do with being replaced. Apart from that the cottage is wonderfully peaceful and the view was to die for with the ever changing tide.

We have stayed at Pinetrees before and loved it. The property has obviously changed hands and the bathroom and bedroom are much improved, however no shaving point anywhere, which sent the husband into a spin. Lounge: the sofa was disgusting, I wouldn't put it in the garden and I certainly wouldn't sit on it. Of the two chairs one had a broken bottom. There were pieces of Pretzel on the rug. Kitchen: the oven door will not close, the light above does not work and there is no blind at the window. Someone had spilled washing powder all over the machine and floor in the utility area and left it. Went to do some washing as we had moved on from elsewhere - no pegs at all. Conservatory: the door handle is broken and seriously in danger of breaking off. I can't believe they have taken down the vertical blinds, no privacy and no way to control heat from the sun, so basically like an oven and unusable. Such a shame, as we have made some great friends in Strachur, but we were seriously disappointed in the property.

Could be a very nice cottage but it was cold and the central heating wasn't much help. The lounge furniture was way past its sell buy date. you sank that low when you sat on anything you felt you practically sitting on the floor.

Spacious two bedroom cottage - parking for two cars (three at a squeeze). Large well-equipped kitchen. One TV in lounge, none in bedrooms - which is fine with me as I never have TV's in my bedrooms at home. Good wi-fi with speeds of 17MB - brought my own android device to plug into TV for the week. Two conservatory seating areas in addition to the lounge and varanda - so you can have a space if you need to enjoy a bit alone time. Matresses are extremely comfortable - not too soft. Pet friendly, good size grassed garden area, local post office and shop just across the road. Enjoyed our stay there.

Warm and welcoming, cosy comfortable cottage with nice decor. All the equipment you need plus books, games and on line tv streaming service. We went for Hogmanay (nearby Creggans Inn) and the owners had left us a Christmas tree, crackers and a cake. Cottage thoughtfully laid out. Plenty of outside space too, with balcony. Lovely morning views over Loch Fyne. Convenience of shop, post office and cafe opposite. The cottage is dog friendly and we took our westie with us. I'd have only two recommendations which would improve the stay - a fenced in garden with gate and an outside security light.
