Wonderfully dark and quiet, with the sounds of the ducks, a dog and an owl. Close to shops and food outlets, but just away from it all. Big place with an odd layout of two lounges, one that suited the morning sun and a smaller one to be cosy on a night. Good oven and microwave, fridge etc. The two sofas were sofa beds, so we're not comfy to sit on and hard to get out of. The bed gave me a bad back oddly. The shower was very weak too. Many heaters in the property, but hard to work out the dials as the markings weren't visible, so was a game if try it and see, have another go the other way. All on a meter, which ate money and there was only me there and I'm used to cool houses and only sat in one room! Was very annoying having to buy things to get more change to feed the meter. Lovely to have a duck pond over the way, but oddly decorated as a pirate island! A lovely gentle horse in the field behind, who popped his head over the fence and was treated with carrots. A pain to have to open two gates to get the car in, meant I didn't go out on a night, as was so dark, muddy, big pot holes filled with rain, was a hassle. It was a farm, so I understand the need if there are animals around, but couldn't see any. Still a good base for going to so many places, and the people on the farm were lovely.
